I've watched an episode a while ago, but found it less rewarding than actually spending my time playing the game, although yeah it was funny, but I couldn't be arsed to watch the whole episode (I have a life)
i just watch it while eating; watching the kacho suffer and triumph is good for the digestion

sorry I have already a backlog of things to watch while eating, there are too many videogames and TV programs nowadays, I'm thinking about cutting all that shit off for a while

imagine you're 9 again, sitting with your dumbass snotty neighbour who smells weird and lets you watch but not play his games. except you're not 9, you're paul eres. you have an intractible cold due to the damp in your condemned new jersey frankenstein lab and your neighbour is a middle aged salaryman on youtube but now he's really bad at the games. this is what passes for entertainment for some reason.

each episode has 100k+ views
its not super-popular, but its not exactly obscure either
Arino is part of a really popular comedy team in japan (Yoiko) so that probably helped.

What's not hilarious is that you've gone over to visit, and they tell you that their big brother has a new game for the SNES, and it's called Populous but because your childlike brain is only used to simple modes of interaction with a gameworld, you can't even start to comprehend the methods by which the big brother is shaping the playfield. It's not that you don't want to try and harness that power, it's that you feel that, when given your turn (as is fair), you'll reveal yourself as unworthy and incompetent. You say to them "this looks cool, this is fun", but you really just want to play Mario Kart even though you consistently come in last place, even in the battle mode. With Mario Kart your failure is a known quantity.
