SFxT looks awful. BUT

what about TxSF? They are different games after all.
development has barely started on it and it hasn't even been seen yet

We have this:

I want to see what they do with the SF characters' movesets. Tekken characters have huge movesets, toning them down for SFxT seems easier than making more moves for TxSF.

i dont see a problem with gems or whatever as long as everyone has access to all of them and its clear what they do
i dont know much about the system details but it looks fun enough. i will at least try it despite not liking sf4 very much and tekken at all

I have no idea what the fuck was Ono thinking with Pandora. I can see some Dark Phoenix bullshit with Pandora Lili or Pandora Gief coming up in the future, tho.
I guess Gems might be cool, if they aren't massive pieces of shit.

There was this huge backlash because of auto-block and auto-tech gems, but unless capcom is completely retarded they'll make those gems weak in a way that it is good to give the new players one less thing to worry about, but a decent player will always prefer picking some other gem instead.

Okay so basically they are trying to make the game more fair by adding more abstraction and more exception? It's unlikely to help new player and will actually increase the knowledge gap and hi level exploit, it decrease readability and add more blind guessing.

It would be a great idea if it was a fighting game where you create your own character but feel tack on with an existing cast.

At least it's great they try new thing when given the opportunities. Let's see how it evolve.

This is actually something Street Fighter EX3 attempted to do, although the execution in it was a bit rough; and most of the missions involved actually required you to purchase the entire freaking casts' movesets and utilize every move in order to progress to any actually useful ones; and it did threaten the cohesiveness of some choices (IE: you couldn't remap commands at all, so there was no way to coincide Chugeki-Ko with Hadoken, for instance, or Sonic Boom with Psycho Crusher/Rolling Attack).

This also really makes me wish I could get my sprite-mapping done quicker/smoother; since the concept - on every level - ties into my main project.

^ t x sf early design stuff. Gladly they look nothing like their SF4 incarnations and more like the SF3 ones.

Chun Li hasn't looked this good since the Alpha games. I don't know why Capcom insists on ugly-fying their characters in SF games.
