no, you get it at nearly the cheapest rate. if you're lucky enough (or know in advance) when the bundles come out, you could pick them up at 2.99. I guess when they released the second Indie Royale bundle a lot of people were f5-ing trying to get the cheapest price.
3.99 is an insane deal for four games though. especially since you get the soundtracks or other bonuses they usually give out.
so even if you don't like the games, or already own them, you can easily give it to someone who may enjoy them. you have to be a certain kind of asshole to bitch about receiving four games (plus all possible bonuses) for 3.99.

You get the game bundle at the cheapest rate this way, so there's an advantage to preordering.
It's not much different than joining a CD of the month club or somesuch where you get something each month that is unexpected and good or bad.
I expect several people to sign up expecting to get at least a few new games out of the deal, and being pleasantly surprised that some if not most of them are good. It's not absurd as you seem to think.
Well, it's not smart consumerism. Millions of people buy Apple phones without really knowing anything about the technology or the details of what they are buying. Do they enjoy it? They probably do. Are they smart consumerist? Probably not. Sometimes it's fun to throw money waiting for surprise. It's not cost effective, but it's fun. I just said, it's not smart to buy something before you know what you are getting. Usually, it's called early adopters. Some people like to buy it while it's hot, and some people like to wait for the early adopters to encouter all the bugs(though even early adopters can be educated consumers, these consumers are uneducated). But this is even pre-early adopters, it's trusting %100 the retailer or brand that they know what they are doing. Much like the apple fans.

Nice excerpt from Ridicuallen: Chronicles of Nerdrage. Or was it the sequel "Hatemonger: The Tough Guy Returns"? Seriously though, unless you step off the hate pedal, all I read is "RAWWR ROAARRGH GRAWWWL AWHOOOOOOOOOFFF, GROWL, WOOF WOOF ROOORGAAARRGHHHH". There's a decent enough point in your posts, I reckon. I still won't buy things unseen and that's not me being an "asshole" as you so ineloquently put, but rather being conscious about my money (3€ isn't something to just cough up). --- I wonder how long they'll do that pre order thing. Also the price has gone up since I last looked, does anyone know whether its just the exchange or whether they implented their price balancing thing?

I wasn't even responding to your post you fucking cry baby. You're so sensitive, you're like a fucking child. Get over yourself.
The price never changed, it was always 3.99/5.00 pre-order and 2.99 at the moment of release.

I don't know if I was imaginating this, but in the first bundle, it looked to me as if the big bundle had 6 game boxes under it, now it has only 4.

The boxes used to be wider (i.e., "really big"), so it looked like there were 6 when there were actually only 4. I imagine they probably changed the image so people wouldn't be confused into pre-ordering it expecting it to get 6 games.

I don't know, proper manners don't seem childish to me, instead, they do seem quite contributive to a discussion. But perhaps you'd like to fling some more silly insults my way, heck seems to be helping you with your anger management issues? It's okay, unwind. I don't break as easily as you. See, just that second part of your post would have made a great contribution. Helpful, civil manner, great promise. And for that I kindly thank you. For the rest, well seems I'm here to help your issues I guess.

Paul is of the mind that the meaning behind your words is more important than how you say it. I'm inclined to agree, but I don't think that makes how you say things unimportant. Either way, try to bring the personal attacks down to a minimum, whether you're or .

I see. So your very thoughts, not so much your actions/interaction, determines the greatness of wrong and is used as basis for banning. I don't see how that could be used as an abuse of power in any way at all. (This is mostly directed at Paul, that is if he isn't being sarcastic. If he is... well... gosh.) EDIT: Although, dEnamed... is being a little bit of a dick. Both he and Allen are being equal amounts dick by my assessment. EDIT EDIT: Although, Allen is truly a kind, helpful person despite his random colorful outbursts. (This is what I think. I don't really know for sure. I've never met the guy.) I can't really attest to the purpose of dEnamed's comments. They could be coming from any direction. Maybe he's playing. Maybe he's trying to show himself as morally superior. Maybe he's flirting. Maybe he's had a bad day and this isn't a normal thing to pick on people in such a way. Hermmmm... This has become an interesting moral dilemma indeed. But when it comes down to it, is it worth it for both of you to risk being banned by keeping this back-and-forth going? Or worse, to risk tarnishing further the flag we all sail under? Are we not brothers (and sometimes sisters) with a common purpose? Can't we not be better than just men, better than ourselves, and learn to accept our differences, to be patient and kind with one another and make a community that we can be proud of?

@peanutbuttershoes - of course i was being sarcastic, i thought that was obvious (since i've been against banning of anyone for forever)
@derek - i don't remember saying that meaning/style thing, so i'm not sure i agree with what you say i think (but i'm not really sure what you're saying that i'm saying, either)
anyway i think we should be wary of the idea that someone is a "hater" just because they disagree with something or criticize something. e.g. the occupy wall street movement people are called "haters" because they criticize corporate control of the government, and tea party members are called "haters" because they criticize the government spending levels and taxes, but neither are motivated by hatred, both are motivated by a desire to improve things
applied to this situation, i don't see how it's hatred to say that we should be wary of selling preorders to games that we don't even know what they are, and that perhaps it was a mistake for them to offer preorders of unknown games. what if you already own all the games in their bundle? do they give you your money back?
