the idea that humans are the only "sentient" species is so weird i don't even know how to respond to that
Sorry. My bad. I  meant self aware. Is that any different (Language barrier)

consciousness isn't a necessary prerequisite of life...
Are you a programmer? There is a difference between life and a system of mere reactions.
A computer may "seem" life-like because it can run complex programs and dwarf fortress and its so very complex you cant fully comprehend it but really it is just reactions. Yes, perhaps I was wrong saying that humans are the only conscious/sentient species. I meant to say they are the only self-aware.

nations (and other superorganisms) are more complex than any individual person
What is a nation but slaves and their masters? Obviously the masters lead the nationwhile the slaves can accomplish little else. So are you then saying that the master is more complex than the slaves? Are they both not human?
*Sorry, speech time*
This would imply a, not just lineage but also an economical dictatorship. History often looks at tyranny as a disease rather than a super cool new super organism.

if they don't have consciousness they have something even higher and more intricate than consciousness: culture
What is culture? Is it how I eat? Is it how I dress? Is it what days I celebrate? Culture has little real influence.  Patriotism is the real culprit because most people are brainwashed to the point where they dont even know what it means. They think patriotism is like some sort of happy time where you just agree with every stupid thing the government does. True patriotism would be one where you observe your country from a non-biased point of view and realize its flaws... And learn from them/correct them.

examine how much your culture and tradition (such as your religion) control your thoughts and behavior
My religion?... HOW DARE YOU ADRESS MY RELIGION...  Tongue. You have to note that Religion and Belief are two very different things. Religion is the obedience of certain traditions. Its basically monk-hood. Religion guarantees you salvation by what you do. Belief implies you believe in something about God or what have you. My belief is simply that God is. My belief does not require me to force upon you the idea that evolution is a prank or something. Heck, as I mentioned before, I think it would be quite cool if God would have used evolution(Huge spore game) but I have my reasons for not believing in this. My belief/faith does not change my opinion on what is equality/justice/humanity/video games. My thoughts are effected. Everybody's thoughts are effected by everything. But as a self aware creature you should try and control yourself.

nations are not bound by the same rules people are, even though they sometimes pretend to be bound by those rules and lie that they are following those rules in order to placate their populations
Thats like saying I might drink gasoline, violate a dead woman, sleep in manure and dink nothing but mud cause I'm not bound by the same rules as the separate parts of my body but I occasionally eat carrots just to please some of the remaining organs.

since there are always going to be wars and atrocities, the best we can do is try to limit them, and the way to limit them, as i said, is by having a balance of three superpowers in the world, rather than one or two superpowers.
Why do superpowers have to exist at all? Why couldn't there just be... Have you heard of the zeitgeist project or the Venus project? the idea is that right now, the force by witcs people rule the world is money. So the world would be free of many many flaws if money was taken out of the equation. Why should there be any superpowers? If there is always going to be war and suffering then that implies that there will always be other superstates like the US who abuse their power. That means that there will always be people who die every day just because some idiot decided to dump oil in their water or something. That  means that there will always be suffering. But if you look at it from your perspective then think about it this way- If anything can happen, then one day people might be free of all suffering and all. War is an outdated institution. It is no longer relevant. War might have been used as a tool of survival millennia ago but now it is only a tool to conquer other countries. As I have said before, we have developed technologies to grow abundant food supplies, to generate clean power and construct homes. all our basic needs are fulfilled. We no longer need war. It is third party tampering that doesnt allow countries to understand each other.

Also, look at it this way, most crimes and everything is caused due to economical failure. What do you do if you have no money to buy food? You steal it. What do you do if you are raised in a district that is under the poverty line? You adapt. It is situations where you do not have the required necessities for life that people have to fight to survive. If there was no money, all these problems would be solved.

but this is a long time off; for now the US will continue its violent collapse, for at least a few decades more. the only reason we haven't invaded iran is because the wars in iraq and afghanistan went so badly; that shows that no amount of money and technology will make up for small numbers of troops and poor planning and strategy. so the US now has to resort to robots (drones), bombs, and using rebels (as in libya) who actually know how to fight to do its fighting for it
Wow! Its like, you actually pay attention! Im amazed at you guys here. Though Iran is already ruled by a post-us leader so there's no need for that.

Lol, you're going to need to explain to me how handicapping people is "ethical" given how people are born not only socially inequal but also biologically inequal (potential intelligence, attractiveness, physical strength, etc.)
.
Not like that! I mean that everybody is equal as in there isnt some dude who owns 80% of the planet.

Yes you could. I could also kill you in the process while protecting myself. As George Carlin said: where the fuck are you going to find a fairer deal than that?
.
Then why does the police exist? Seems pretty useless. In fact, Why do countries exist? Obama could just go mad if they dont elect him again and start murdering people? Why can I just go to your house and sleep with your wife? Why cant I just go and kidnap your... dog?

There hasn't been much protest against US intervention in other countries because 1) OBL and "terrorism" being used as a boogeyman fearmongering brand (as well as other, lesser leaders; remember when al-Zarqawi died, got reborn, and had his leg reattached just for his home video?), 2) economic decline and climbing deficit (not that this matters too much...I mean who's actually going to call the US out on any of it? if Greece's impending collapse would send shock tremors through the world economy then imagine what a true American crash would do), 3) complacent population who over time have diluted the meaning of a "protest" to almost nothing
.
Good point. But they should at least stop watching the news.

(and who will generally do whatever and believe whatever the state wants them to anyway as long as they still believe they have any power, it's just a question of how long or how delayed any change will be; on a large scale you can in fact think of people as germs.)
.
Cells you mean. Cause humans are made of cells. Germs are often bad for you. If you are cells, then you could just start a cancer. At least the body wont be killing other bodies any more.  Shrug

People are neurons  Who, Me?

We born into a context that shape, (education, environment, type of experience)
By our pulsion and reflexion we shape back the context

Now those change propagate from environment to people,  from people to people because we are each other environment.

Accident also affect us, mis communication introduce noise, it introduce mutation.

Now take an overall view of this and you see society, a super calculator where people are both actuator, sensor and processor.

Antybaner, you are not alone, money is not the problem.  Who, Me?
