The only clue to the identity of the thieves is the Marijuana Leaf Emblem they left on the side of the truck before departing.

Meanwhile on wii, same game lower fidelity graphics (not the best of the console), "better controls"

http://www.destructoid.com/review-call-of-duty-modern-warfare-3-wii--215804.phtml

Quote
Following the otherwise lackluster The Conduit, the Wii Call of Duty games took some of the biggest leaps in getting pointer aiming from its nascent teething problems in Red Steel to the dual analog-annihilating powerhouse it is now. That isn't empty hyperbole -- Modern Warfare 3 is compatible with the Classic Controller Pro, and despite Treyarch's adding copious quantities of auto-aim to compensate for its shortcomings, it is immediately apparent when taking the game online who the dual analog players are by their slower turning and inability to match the precision and dexterity of those using the Wii Remote.

That isn't to slight people who prefer analogs over the pointer nor that there isn't room for both, but to suggest that once a player is used to its idiosyncrasies, pointer aiming can be devastatingly effective. Modern Warfare 3 once again isn't at the top of the pile in terms of Wii FPS controls -- Red Steel 2 and Conduit 2 both used Motion Plus to gain a little extra smoothness that made all the difference, while Metroid Prime 3 was locked at 60 fps. Regardless, anyone who has played a Wii COD before will immediately feel at home, where everything is as customizable as it needs to be for newcomers to make the transition as comfortable as possible, even if it means adapting to a new control vocabulary.

Because it is the same game, it set a benchmark of how far we have evolve between two generation of console.

It intrigues me that they say it's better than the motion aiming in Metroid Prime 3, because I already thought that was phenomenal. Even Twilight Princess, which is hardly about shooting in the least way made miles better by the ability to aim the bow with the wiimote. When I go back to earlier titles in the series I really feel the loss when I have to aim with a control stick, or rely on z-targeting.

Shooting is a really good mode for the wii remote.

Isn't there a fair bit of input lag/delay with the wiimote though?

Been playing multiplayer. Unkickable hackers. Seriously, Activision, stop taking two steps backward for every step forward. Give players the ability to kick/ban on vote. Also, make it so that there are ranked dedicated servers. Also FOV changing. Black Ops had that shit, why doesn't MW3? Oh yeah, because you are RETARDED.

My bro bought this. I haven't played it yet, but it looks ... decent.

One thing I never really understood is the way killstreaks work - it rewards those who are experienced and winning with ways to kill more people. I don't think the deathstreaks are near as good, but that's debatable. I've only used them in 2 player splitscreen, maybe they're more fair when you have a lot more players.

Conceivably you could design the killstreak mechanic to reward a team for supporting one player while they build up to a powerful kill streak attack. This would allow a team that develops a kill-streak centric strategy to build up a win via a nuke. But I don't think that's how this works in practice.

The downside is that this obviously imbalances play so that more skilled players get a boost that puts them out of range of less skilled players. That's mitigated by the fact that you have large numbers of players so there are plenty of opportunities for unexpected situations to break your kill streak, such as getting caught by a group of players.

The upside is that it gives the player a huge reward for skilled play. You become jealous of the player who just managed to summon air support, and you want to practice up to get there. It also lends some addition tension to the game when a player is nearing the end of a streak since the other team is doubly motivated to take out that player.

The second could be accomplished just by giving bonus kills to a player who ends a kill streak and the first could be accomplished through unlockable rewards that don't change the mechanics of combat.

It would be awesome if you could steal someone's killstreak when you killed them.
Something like that would help prevent killstreak hoarding and it would give the less experienced players/disadvantaged teams more of a chance to turn the tables.

Just a neat little thought. For what I know something like that doesn't exist yet does it?  Concerned

FYI, the support killstreak in MW3 carries over between lives, and doing support-related actions (capturing flags, taking down uavs, destroying sams, etc) now give streak points
