Never used IRC before... and I won't do it anymore.
Didn't find out anything except that looking for a programmer on IRC is lame and that I should make mmortsrpg...
well you can't just go in and start asking for programmers to make your game for you, that's not how it works. what you need to do is make friends who are also game developers who are more experienced than you are, and work with them on *their* ideas, not yours to use an analogy, it's like if you were asking 'how do i have sex?' and i said 'go meet some girls', and you said 'i tried that, i found some and asked them for sex, and it didn't work'. you can't just expect to work with others straight off the bat, you need to make friends first, and then among those friends opportunities to work with them on *their* (not your) games will arise |

Well I cant really make my game any that more unique if I dont really know how to program the features in now can I? And all the awesome things I COULD make would be clones. Canabalt, Binding of Isaac, Caverns. Or are noobs allowed to rip stuff? Me and Sundownkid Did make one game so I do have SOMETHING under my belt.

I don't like that u've assumend that I wanted the programmers to work on *my* idea. I didn't say anything like that, I was just looking for programmers to collaborate on *any* (bigger than minigame or little flash game) project.
I couldn't make fake friends just in purpose to make a game with them later, it's just unfair for me.
If none of my current friends wants to/can make a game with me I won't just go to look for other friends (taking into account that making friends takes it's time and I'd like to start a new project really fast).
I don't know if u've already noticed that ppl that are already making a game often don't need more ppl in their project (since they probably have already better artists/coders) and I don't see a reason for them to want useless collaborators in their teams.

I think that is always better to make game at your own. If you an artist and can`t deal with code - try some constructors such as Scirra Construct or Stencyl. If you are coder, you always could use some primitive and abstract sprites, or rip-off some sprites from other games.

Fixed that for you  I know this feeling all too well though, struggling to go through with it myself. The best thing is having someone else to keep pushing you along, in my case, my girlfriend is always checking up on my progress and encouraging me. |

Yeah but its hard to go outside and have peers if I live in a small town at the country side. To make things worst, all the other "peers" here are dickheads. They will say "WTF!? You want SEX you bitch fag TROLTROL" if you as much as ask them what time it is. Seriously, I dont like what school does to people(Thats why I dont go there). Anyway...
Back on topic.
I cant think of any enemies. All Im getting is "Since its a platformer there should be one dude who just walks around and then another who does the same but also shoots...How about ninjas? Or bats? Nah, AVGN said that bats and ninjas are clishee. Well... Il just go play some... Oh. My moms pc has a pasword now. Crap. now I'l never get to do anything."
So yeah, enemy design is a pain. Also, bosses are a pain.
Ive programmed the game so far that theres 1/4 slopes and water too. Also, you have a jetpack-ish thingy.
