Ohhhhhhhh... Ok.
Now I see what you were trying to do there, after you explained it.
I also thought the cig was floating.

I'm so glad you're rotoscoping the animations.
It just makes me happy.

awesome idea with the greenscreen, I'd recommend trying to light it more evenly if you can so that there is less off a gradient across it. Will help tons with keying it out (unless that isn't important)

What are you using the green screen for?

You don't need a green screen to rotoscope. You only really need a green screen for chroma key compositing.

Alright, so you're rotoscoping. How does that work with a green screen? I'm interested in this. Your rick astley animation looks really fluid. nevermind, I figured it out.

I'm not totally sure, but I think he's filming people/himself dance, and then looking at that footage, extracting some frames, and spriting them.

Yea, I don't understand how the green background help you. What I think you are doing is you are drawing outlines over a frame of the movie, in a different layer. So, how does it matter if the background is green or white(wall)? Or is it just to help you out removing the background and make it easier to draw the exterior outline? Or just more convinient?
