There are millions of games I can't create but I want. So I have already given up with this.

I want to turn this tech demo into a MOBA style game...  www.burrowgames.com/games  (Warning Unity)

However my focus right now is to live off of my games and I'm not looking to wait 6 months until I get a playable prototype of a MOBA...  Working on a polished casual game for mobile at the moment, fingers crossed.  Working a mentally exhausting 40hr/week job as a mechanical engineer by day and as a budding game developer by night is tough!

I've always wanted to create a turn-based stealth game. I'm not sure how it would really work, but in my head I can see a cross between a roguelike, and Splinter Cell... The only barrier stopping me is time Tongue ...Oh, and skill Wink

I dunno what other people feel about this game genre, so it might sound a little weird. But I've always wanted to make a Harvest Moon kind of game Cheesy
But knowing it's a massive undertaking, I never did anything.

Play a bit of crawl.  SpAs.  Gather inspiration, then DO THIS.

I have a crazy amalgam of adventure game, platformer, and visual novel I really want to do.  For some stupid reason I won't let myself move forward without developing some animation tech I have high hopes for.

I really want to make a horror game. But not one with a traditional story and narrative. One that the player makes their own story with their experience. Just give them a scary playground to walk around in and discover traces of a world left behind. Maybe ghosts talking among themselves. I think it could have a strong community on the internet where players get together and point out what they've found and what weird stuff happened to them when they logged on during certain times of day.

Giggle

One of the biggest foreseeable problems would be trying to do significant physics simulation over network, which I hear is not too simple.

That could be quite awesome, it would substitute the timing in most stealth games with planning and strategy.

This idea gets my seal of approval.

I've always wanted to make a game where you are the last people on earth who are good people, everyone else is evil. And they're trying to chase you. And all you can do is run away.

Maybe you could side with the evil people and just start killing people, iunno.

Perhaps there's a meter which shows how good/bad you are? For instance, shooting people makes you more evil while saving them makes you less.

I broke the hidden rule of designing my game in the post, didn't I?

What would make the good/evil mechanic useful and not completely annoying and pointless like every other game that has tried it?

Based on gameplay videos (I haven't played either game), I would want to create some cross between Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden 2. For some reason recently I've really been wanting to play games like those (but I can't play either of the two because I don't have a current-gen console).
