*pant* *pant* *pant* Right! My game is finished Tired

Get it here, unzip it and run nochristmas.exe

Have fun!

Btw, I have noticed on a Vista machine that the game is bright white (probably a texture rendering issue) and thus unplayable. I have no clue why, though. Perhaps a SFML hacker could shine his or her light on this issue?

I dig it, Ashkin. I thought you said you weren't good at rapid development.

Finally time to play all these games! It's like christmas came early Grin

@dustin:
Playing it at 22:30 and I probably let my best score speak for me: 10. Freaking hard!
The concept is a nice idea!

@John Sandoval/Blademasterbobo:
I love that thing Grin
Easily the best part was eating the police car. NOM NOM NOM Evil
Although half of my first time I was just climbing and jumping from roof to roof. I have climbed the highest towers just to visit the children, and these ungrateful bastards elect to jump down instead!

@Conker:
Why does it have to close when I die WTF
What kept me going was the lovely BGM. The cutscene is great! (What is the red text in the upperleft corner on the winning message? Closed a little bit too fast for me to see...)

@Geeze:
Oldschool, glitchy (I still haven't stopped falling from when I went through the wall), cool sprites and an awesome soundtrack - what's not to love? Grin
The controls took some time to get used to!

@SoS:
Your game is ridiculous in the most fun way possible Kiss
And it suddenly turned a hell lot easier once I learned I can double jump. Seriously, that happens to me all the time, I don't know why I don't just try it at the beginning of every platformer...
And god, the title screen and game over screen images... Cheesy
(Oh, and reading the comments I just learned there is a wall jump too? Gotta try it again now!)

@Theophilus:
I will never become a smoking snowman after playing your game, and if I was one, I would quit being one at this exact moment. Very educational!

@Slow:
The protagonist looks quite cute, with the eyes following the mouse. If I was an elf, I would probably try to hug him too! (Reminds me of Dragondot, where I killed the kobolds at the beginning of the game because I thought they were enemies, but they just wanted to be near me Evil/ Sad)

@SundownKid:
Whoa. Woah! How long did it take you to do that? It's absolutly, utterly awesome. The storyline. The ryhmes! And the voiceover... Kiss
(Now I have to look at all the other stuff you did so far, beginning by visiting your website. Don't try to stop me, you've brought that on yourself!)

@Ghost:
The shooting sound gets annyoing pretty fast - otherwise, solid game! It's very easy at the beginning, but gets harder pretty fast at a certain point.
After I lost all the presents I quite enjoyed watching them still coming to the bags and walking away disappointed Smiley

@Ashkin:
Cool! I like the movement pattern of the red guys - at first I actually thought that they were intelligent and try to evade me! And the snow particles look fab. And pssh, I only picked your spot so I can outshine you, but now you post a cool game and I can't No No NO

My game is right underway! Will post it in a few hours, I hope. Might be the 9th though; I am doing it on the 8th in the german time zone.

I dig it, Ashkin. I thought you said you weren't good at rapid development.
Protip: This game was made over the space of two days.
That is not rapid development. That is slow development. It was all I could do to stop where I did- the yellow guys are supposed to shoot bullets and the dark blue ones are supposed to blow up when you shoot/touch them Droop
Also more weapon types would be cool- the presents kinda suck as it is now.
