Hello guys!

This is my first game project (as a developer).

I'm a 2D artist trying to learn how to make my own game, so you're going to find a lot of concept art and some slow development on gameplay..
I'll try STENCYL first.. if it doesnt work for me i'll give GAMEMAKER a chance.

My proposal is kinda simple, you're a mech pilot (a girl) figthing giant robots and aliens to save the planet. Something close to 'Powerpuff girls', 'Evangelion' and 'Godzilla'.
I want it to be a platformer with few stages and different mechanics each.
You'll have to kill the giant monster before it exterminates the entire population. Chase the boss in the stage and find a way to bring him down as fast as you can! You can upgrade your robot changing arms, legs, torso and head, each one of them responsible for a different gameplay style (ex: heavy armor + def - speed, double jump legs, night vision helmet)

I started to think about the 'first' boss-stage, it'll be a Giant Magma Slug. You can check some concept art and mock-ups below.

Hope i can get some feedback as the game grows!
