I want to make some games! But, for a couple of reasons, I don't. I have a terrible, terrible idea deficit, (other than the absurdly ambitious unattainable system shock/thief/pathologic mashup ideas) which is... a problem. My solution to this problem is to get you fine chaps to tell me what to make. Basically, you'll give me an idea, and I will have a week to create a game. At the end of the week, I have to release it in whatever state it is in. So I get to make games, and you get games. I'm going to try and create everything myself; code, graphics, sound, music. Everything except the idea. Now, I'm not going to go into details about my skills, because I don't want you to limit your ideas, with two exceptions. One being that it should be feasible to make in a week- although I do have lots of free time. The other being Fuck Multiplayer, unless it's either hotseat or keyboard sharing. So, yes. Please give me all of the ideas. Quote an idea if you like it, I guess, and I'll make the most popular one.

If I had a perfectly good idea, why would I give it to you?

Because you're a wonderful person? Or maybe because you want to see what happens when you give your WACKY IDEA to a PLUCKY YOUNG UPSTART, and give him a week to create the game? Or maybe you just don't have the time or inclination to make it? Who knows! IDEASSSSSSS

I have plucked this gem from my posterior:
Attack of the Attack of the Attack!
You control a character who gets stronger the more damage he takes hits from enemies, long falls, bumping into spikes or walking into fire, etc but you has to unleash this power before it builds up and kills him. But if you unleash it into the swarms of scampering puppies and bunnies, skipping orphans, singing nuns, or barely motile elderly found all over the place, your score plummets.

Oh darn, I can't believe I missed tha- "An evil organization who seemingly only wish to cause chaos has sprung up, and you being an Agent of the peace protecting PALADIN, have to stop them with your transforming robo-fist!"
Okay I'm going to make that, unless anyone has any objections.

Infection
A 2d shootemup. Two way scrolling. Gameplay takes place inside a large circle that is about 2x2 times larger than the screen.
You control a small blue dart shaped ship with a yellow laser. It in bound within the large circle.
There are green germs on the outside of the large circle, and they bounce against it trying to get in, and sometimes they do.
If a germ touches you it will kill you.
Inside the big circle there are several small red circles, which are energy sources. When you fly your ship onto a red circle, it recharges your laser, while depleting the energy stored in the red circle. The red circles slowly regenerate energy upto a limit. The energy contained within an energy source can be indicated by it's colour (dark grey -> dark red -> vivid red -> vivid red with glow)
If germs get inside the large circle, they will wander for a little while, and then head to a random red circle, where they will consume energy from it and then split into two.
If left alone, the germs will overwhelm the large circle, and drain all of it's energy sources, leaving no way for you to recharge your laser. You have to search and destroy infections before they get out of hand.

Attack of the Attack of the Attack! ...
I like this one. Can you die from taking too much damage as well, thereby rewarding you for scraping close to death? Typing of the SPED2D oblique or isometric zombie shooter, where (lumbering) zombies are killed by typing the "words" that appear over them. The twist is that it's random strings of letters, numbers, & punctuation that the player must type, not actual terms or phrases. The player is constrained to paths, and chooses where to head at the upcoming intersection by typing the "word" on the appropriate directional signpost. Weapons, healing items, ammo, etc. appear at intersections & are collected on contact. Zombies spawn at the edge of the arena-like environment, and come ever more frequently. It's a survival game. Obviously, the player character must be special.

Make a game about a renegade cop who does't play by the rules...of time and space. Each level, he travels through time to a different historical war, from the Peloponnesian War, to the 100 year war to the Opium War to WWI and into the future.
