well the thing changed a tiny bit. it doesn't make much sense for the darklord to wake up at sunrise so you are breaking in during the day and gotta get out before nightfall.

Those new guys look great. Interested to see how the game plays out now with the new enemies and their new move patterns.

its pretty crazy. there is a nasty bug with the evil lord, with it only spawning once. so if it spawns on floor 9, he wont show up on ten. Once I squash this one I should be able to send out a build to my testers.
On a different note. I will probably be able to announce who will be doing my music and SFX soon. We are just getting everything squared away at the moment.
Edit: also still thinking about the name cause most people dont read it as a combination of Micro and Rogue. most think of it as Mc Rogue, which makes it sound like a scary sandwhich from mcdonalds. so I am back to looking for a name. some ideas are:
Mini Rogue Tiny Rogue Tiny Thief Dinky Dungeon Little Loot
I think Mini Rogue works the best so far, but I was hoping to get two words to start with the same letter, or rhyme some what. it will help it stick in peoples minds, but I am wondering if I can perhaps fix the font on the title and not capitalize the R. another idea I had was showing the words Micro and Rogue and smashing them together.

I like Microgue. If you think of it as one word I think it works.

Is the kicked-out-of-the-pub framing story still part of this? Because "Half-Pint" might be a good name seed with double meaning. The Half-Pint Rogue? I remember you described this as the roguelike to play while you wait for a mini roguelike to initialize, so maybe the name could come from that – quick play, rather than the "size" of the game.

Half Pint is kind of awesome. the Double Meaning helps too I think. I will have to think about that.

I'd second Half-Pint, or at least consider making that your rogue's official name. But as things stand, MicRogue is a snazzy title as well.
And I know how getting carried away with one aspect of development makes it tricky to focus on the rest, the catch is just getting it started. Once you're started, it's all downhill from there. You really draw a lot of critters/characters? This prompts much curiosity (especially considering that's been one of my hangups, at least digitally speaking).

I think Half-Pint works. Now I just need to decide on the full name:
Half-Pint Half-Pint Hero Half-Pint Rogue
but then again there is still a spot in my heart for Microgue. I just worry about a system thats usually word of mouth, having a strange title.
On a side note, if anyone else would like to test give me a heads up. the more the better.

I think Microgue will help word of mouth. It'll certainly give you unique hits on Google, whereas Half-Pint Hero has to contend with a movie, two TV episodes, a band, stamps, and someone on DeviantArt.
When you Google Microgue it points to this thread.

Hi, I've followed your progress on this project since the beginning and at one point your game was pretty close to a similar project of mine. Nice to see how this has evolved. Keep it on!
