A small 3 part series I've prepared to help people with getting into Inkscape and making isometric graphics quickly

Shadowrun's last blog entry is about their art development, and has many little insights on isometric art as well.

Sorry, I know this doesn't relate. I just went for the cheap joke.

I think programmers working on isometric games with no skill in drawing isometric art is a pretty small demographic, especially here at Tigs, where most people are pretty decent jacks of all trades. Where did you get the idea for the tutorial?

Why not do a tutorial on Java + OpenGL, seeing how you've worked with that and solved quite a few challenges along the way. Share you knowledge, man. I think that subject would resonate with more people, including me.

The tips on setting up a custom grid for isometric art in Inkscape I really like.  I think on TIGS there are a lot of people who lurk, so showing how easy it can be to try something new should always be encouraged.  Thanks!

I wasn't doing anything last Sunday so I decided on making these. They were actually for a thread at 4chan at first but I decided to pots it on my blog and TIGS afterwards simply because it got a lot of attention

I'd do a tutorial but I'm not a teacher type and I don't want to write a lot of text

@Scut Fabulous
Thanks to you too!

It's also easily searchable, which is good - especially considering other people can share additional tips if they have them.

I appreciate this.  It's something I wouldn't have thought of, and for the next Ludum Dare, I could see it being very useful.  (Assuming I practice it before then!)

Thanks!
