This sounds intriguing! I'm assuming the list correlates exactly to each day?

Thank you~ C: Yep, that's the plan- since both January and October have 31 days, I figure the penultimate day can be a free day- revise any of the other entries if you have newer, better ideas, or just relax and prepare for the lifetime challenge on the 31st. Most likely I'm going to post my work on my tumblr, since I haven't used it for much else. If nothing else, once people get started, we can post a link to whatever social media we're using to tackle the challenge.

I will probably be use my own personal blog for this.
Perhaps we should make a single thread for all of us, everyone post a link to their entry each day. And someone is tasked with updating the first post with a overview of all the links.

I'd be up for that- does it matter to anyone if we start a fresh thread, or if we just re-purpose this one for the actual challenge?

I am totally down for this. Writing something like this could really spark some new inspiration! I also vote to start Jan. 1st. I will probably also use my blog if I participate

I'd be interested in this.
Using this thread would probably be fine, if you update the first post with the collection of people's links.

Okay, here's how we're gonna do this. Post a URL that'll collect all of the blogs that you'll be posting for the challenge, a search within your blog with the keyword/hashtag "30dayworldbuilding". Here's an example from my blog. This way, everybody just has one link in the thread And we can cut down on potential spam. That being said, you're more than welcome to discuss everybody's ideas in the actual thread; in fact, I encourage it. You've got five days to prepare, so get ready! Once new year's eve finishes, we hit the ground running.

B- but I don't have a blog! Can I just set up a thread here in the Writing forum and ask everybody not to post in it?

I dunno man, that's up to the admins; I figure it'll be fine, though. A Tumblr's really easy to set up, though.

Can we use worlds that have come to us at an earlier date? Also, how logical do they have to be?

do we have to develop the world (as in write everything down) as the appropriate days come or can I, for instance, work on my religion post days in advance and post it when day 18 comes up.
