Thanks man, you've been there since the early days! I'm shooting to be done by the end of the month, just got saving/loading and some platform-specific stuff to do, then some final bug/qa testing. Should hopefully be ready to announce a release date early next month (if the trailer n stuff are ready by then).

As a special gift to anyone that follows this devlog, here is a download of the Dungeon Hearts Soundtrack. Note that this is about half the music in the game. Each of the five artists will (or already does) have their full contributions on sale separately (check the info of each track for links). Download it here!Let me know which tracks are your favorite!

I love tale of four spirits. Haven't had a chance to listen too much to the rest. D'you think there'll be a space where they're all collated? Jus' when I think I've found everyone who's done music for this, another amazing person pops up!

Wish I had more time to read a bit more on the thread, but checking out the videos, it looks awesome. Definitely keep it up. If you do get the ability to go with Android as well, that would be amazing, as I sadly don't think I can go pick up an iPad just to play this game Something I was wondering though, have you considered adding a breather, just like 3-5 seconds to give the player a chance to pause between the fight and the minigame? The gameplay looks very engaging, but I'm just a little worried that without an opportunity to pause between running off to the next battle, the player might get a little frustrated if they need to take a small break.

I love that track too, it's one of the first things he made for the game. Each of the musicians is selling their version of the soundtrack on their own sites, so I didn't want to put too many of their tracks on the OST and cannibalize sales. For those that do have soundtracks currently available (I think it's everyone but Sam), there is a link to it in the details/info of their tracks. As a tidbit of trivia, Ben Prunty (musician for FTL) made most of the SFX in the game. I had already spent my music budget though so I couldn't have him make a soundtrack for the game Wish I had more time to read a bit more on the thread, but checking out the videos, it looks awesome. It will be available for PC and Mac in addition to iPad! In regards to your comment on adding a short break, I'll give it a try since you're probably right about people needing time to recover/collect their thoughts. Do you think the break should be before or after the interlude (level-up section), or split between both?

Hmm. Probably just once, with something as simple as once the group runs in after the minigame, just a quick pause with "Ready... (1) (2) (3) Fight!" on screen or something so the player knows they have a moment to hit 'pause'. So most likely, after the level-up section. The fight has more of a powerful 'beginning' feel that probably shouldn't be split, I think. Hope that helps!

Did you or Devolver talk w/ Valve on the Steam release? After Anodyne got greenlit, they e-mailed me for initial info, I replied right away and have had no response about making the NDA or anything yet in the past week (followed up a few times already to see if the first e-mail was received but don't want to be annoying). Was wondering if you know how much back and forth there will be - I've really wanted to get all the Steam stuff ironed out since it's been bothering me the past week, but I still don't have access to the dev stuff.

Devolver has several games on Steam already (Serious Sam, Hotline Miami, etc), so I'm assuming things went pretty quickly with them since they've had a working relationship for a while now. Congrats on getting greenlit BTW!

Man, no idea how I missed this two days ago. Congrats! Looks fantastic. Can't wait to try it out. What's the price point going to be? $10? $15?
