Hey everybody.

This is a game that I made back in 2009.  It was Windows-only, but I just ported it to Flash.

It's called The Moonkeeper.

It's about the guy who takes care of the moon.

You can play it right now, if you like.

Please tell me what you think of it.

Thank you, and good night.

Awesome. Graphics are beyond lovely. Sound effects make me weep with nostalgia. I love it. Smiley

Wow. I love pretty much everything about this game. I recently played through the old Duke Nukem 1 episodes and this reminds me of it quite a bit, but with the added feeling of a decent "Metroidvania". I love the graphics and the sounds. The map/status screen is good. The controls are good.

I only really have three minor "issues". One is that there's no music during gameplay, which is kinda disappointing. The other is that health packs seem to be limited in number, so if I mess up one section I may mess up my endgame by not having any health later on. That said, I didn't really play long enough yet to test that theory. The last issue is just that enemies didn't seem to be any threat at all, but I tend to play a game like this primarily for the feeling of discovery from gaining access to new areas.

Anyway, great game. I love it. Oh and the title is amazing too.

Edit: Do you have any plans to update the downloadable version? I prefer offline games, but the Flash port is much better, in my opinion. I like the taller enemies and the downloadable one crashed with a buffer overflow exception. Tongue

huh I remember this, and it's better than I remembered. nice work.

only problem is I hate using up to jump, and kept instinctively pressing space to jump only to bring up the status screen. got me killed once but I got used to it after awhile, so not a big deal.
