You just got a cordial letter from your pal Oscar Ostrich, that aliens are going to explode the Earth today.  Better get your friends and get packing!

Art direction gonna be something like this:

Countdown Choose-Your-Own-Adventure game in Flash using Flashpunk.

I guess I'm gonna start with custom fonts and make a title screen/intro thing first.  Strange place to start, I guess, but that's what I feel like doing.

Haven't made a whole lot of progress on this.  Since I'm developing the engine to be extensible for my Another Thursday game, there probably isn't going to be a playable demo or anything for this game until after Xmas.

In other news, I'm pretty sure I'll also make a separate shmup entry too.  One that would be quicker as far as development time goes.

Edit: Since I haven't made any assets for this yet and have only been doing engine work, I'm actually gonna use parts of this concept for Ludum Dare.  Instead of using my engine, I'll use Adventure Game Studio.  I'll even redo the bear from scratch since I don't want to be accused of using pre-made materials.
