There are two arcade versions. I think both are by Namco. Sad

there was also an arcade one made by namco, it was terrible

oh and i'll add that community when i get back from work.

But the force feedback steering wheel and playing as pac-man is awesome.

I wish I could play them. If only to be able to play every game in the series. But it looks like they're the CD-i Zelda games of the series.

I remember there was a little arcade in Austin that had the arcade Mario Kart. I thought it was cool.

What happened to the baby characters? Baby Peach is my favourite!

I used Baby Peach sometimes as well, but honestly, I'm glad they're gone. Having Peach/Daisy/Mario/Luigi and their baby forms is a waste of character slots. We have much more interesting characters like Wiggler or Honey Queen.

Just got the game. I really like it so far. Personally, I'm glad the snaking isn't as extreme as in DS, and I'm glad they brought back the coins. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think in this version getting coins seems more important then power sliding. This one also has what I think is the best Rainbow Road course ever.

Yes, having 10 coins is quite important in this game. No, I don't agree with this being the best Rainbow Road.

Probably the GCN one, with the Wii one not being too far.

I think Rainbow Road is meant to be the most challenging track in the game, with lots of dangerous turns and colorful visuals, and also great music. The 3DS one is one of the easiest, with the last difficult turns being there just because the designer knew the rest of the track was kind of plain and gimmick-ish. At points it doesn't even look like a Rainbow Road, like the moon part.

In 3DS, I enjoy SNES Rainbow Road more. I love how it's thin, chaotic, colorful and has great music.

Yeah, I liked the moon part myself, but I can understand why it'd make it not feel like a pure rainbow road. I just really liked this version because it kept surprising me when I played it the first time. I thought I had fallen off the track, but then landed on the moon. That was awesome. I thought I was near the end of the first lap, but it just kept going and I realize it's all one big triple-size track. Also awesome. I also really liked hang-gliding through those star boosters and trying to fly for that entire stretch of track. That was a really fun twist that other courses don't capitalize on as much. Plus, the 3d effect works really well on that course because of all the spacey background. Anyway, I just don't remember being as impressed by a Mario Kart course quite that much after the first play.
