I couldn't find any mention of this in any other threads, so I thought I'd post a link to the Matt Chat YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/blacklily8This is run by Matt Barton, who was written a couple of books on video games, and he interviews some of the big game designers of yore. Pretty much all of the interviews are really inspirational and full of excellent advice and insight -- and of course plenty of anecdotes.

Yep, good guy, good viewing. Seconded. Also, the guy keeps metal alive by the power of hair.

I'm surprised his channel isn't more popular. I've been a viewer for a few months now and posted about it on a couple of other message boards. The interviews are absolutely invaluable. The retrospectives are also great, especially if you haven't experienced those older titles and want to see the classics.

Watched his video on Daggerfall, and thought it was pretty cool. Then I went to hit the sub button, but I was already subscribed to his channel.

I met Matt personally a couple of months ago, he's an awesome person plus I discovered Testament thanks to him. My favorite Matt Chat is a tie between Rebecca "Burger" Heineman and John Romero. I would also recommend to read a book he co-wrote called Vintage Games.

Probably my favourite Youtube channel. Love the Romero interview and the Bard's Tale/Wizardry/Dungeons of Daggorath eps.
