This is a game I want to play! That video better be coming soon so we can have a glimpse through the shadows:)
Although I'm sure it'll be totally different, the images remind me of the old SNES game Shadowrun. Only with so much more atmosphere. Also, the fact that the only thing keeping death at bay is fire is an unsettling thought, and awesome.

* NEW BLOG POST *
--------------------------------------------------

[ Update log: ]
- Areas that will reveal puzzle soulutions and other stuff when you light 'em up with your torch
- New pickup system (now you have to press button to pick up an item instead walking over it. That way I can place items in places where you can't walk (altars, coffins, holes etc.)
- Controller support
- Composer made new sound effects
- More maps done
- Lots of code rewritten
- Moved from irrKlang sound library to SDL_Mixer (irrKlang seems to have somekind of memory leaks and I don't like to see leaks!)

[ Other news: ]
If you don't check my blog here and there then I should let you know 2 things:
- Website for the game will be released in next days
- 1st video preview of the Marble Halls is coming - next week

Great to see some updates and this game coming along. It's looking quite polished now from the new screenshots. Looking forward to seeing the new website launch.

@Andy: Thanks, I appreciate your comments! Well, I'm trying to distribute dev time between polishing and progress so this is not final quality and I still have to implement many things and design many maps.

@Peous: I sure will Smiley

Hehe, thanks Impulse9 Wink

And here it comes, first early video preview of the game! I was aiming for much better preview but night calls. I need some sleep for the 10 hours ride to the gamescom. I've promised the video so here it is!

Looking nice and think the music works really well with the visuals.

Only thing I noticed that was a bit off was that when you're walking up and then turn left the torch still stays in the same position instead of moving around with the body. Can understand you might be worried about the visibility. Nice job so far though  Smiley

Awesome work Blodyavenger! It's nice to finally see this game in action, and it looks great! Beer!

Franklins Ghost - I think little graphic cheats like that are totally reasonable when it'd mean sacrificing clarity otherwise. That kind of stuff was encouraged in my animation course back in the day, and chances are only those with extremely keen eyes would pick up on it!

Thanks everyone! It's nice to see that thing in action works for you Smiley

@Franklins Ghost: Actually it should turn around yes and I know about this mistake but I didn't take time to correct this, hehe. It looks like people see this problem (it took a while for me to mark this mistake lol )

And here it goes, another screenshot from the #screenshotsaturday. I'm working on the storyline map art and this is what I have so far

Hey thanks Belimonth! I'm glad you really glad you found it then Smiley

There are lots of changes, news and some less important stuff but one of the biggest things right now is the official webpage for the game. You can find some screenshots, video and basic information about the game in one place.

I kindly invite you to check it out
