I hate to say that bumping a thread for this seems like advertising, but bumping a thread for this totally seems like advertising.

Edit: I mean, it seems like nice, courteous advertising, but still advertising.

Asking for the name of paid composers in a game develloper forum is a recipe for disaster, I am surprised there hasn't been several dozen already pimping their stuff.
They are like endless zombie hordes. Just look at indiegamer forums. They could fill a forum all year round.

Yeah, composers are quite bothersome and spammy on GameDev too. I don't know why them and not other artsy types, though.

It could be that there's much more of a supply than a demand for them (like actors, novelists, and so on).

I do music for games, although I'm fairly new to the whole thing.

http://buzinkai.net/?page=music

Check it out.

I don't particularly charge as long as the game is free as well.

That's it from me!  Wink

I'd like to introduce you all to scoreAscore.com, a one of a kind, 24/7 music composer resource for all types of games.

At no cost, take less than ten minutes to post your project (no project is too big or small), a description of the music you need, and a video (if you want). Our pool of hand filtered, professional composers *including Grammy and Emmy winners and nominees* will send you custom scores, tailored to your project, with no obligation. There is absolutely nothing to lose. No other website has this service. We’re the most time efficient and simple process to access the top quality composers.

There is. I can attest to that. I get emails every couple of weeks asking if I can contribute music to commercial game projects. I ask for some money in exchange for contributing to their commercial game. Then they balk and go elsewhere, because they can. It's kind of a problem.

This may sound auto-referential, but let me share my music portfolio as an answer, since videogame music is what I do for a living (hopefully) Smiley
Here it is, hope you will like it!
