there is no excuse for not having a version of trilby with a white vest, hat and tie and a black shirt
none
If we really want to overdo Trilby, he has multiple outfits from Art of Theft. Default/Gray Suit/Black Rain Suit/Lazy Sunday Cream Suit but that's for later. I like the recolours.

Turners recolours should resemble the desatureated blue of his original pants.

Unfortunately, Game Maker doesn't have a palette-swapping ability (that I am aware of), so multiple palettes would require manually recoloring every sprite by hand.
If anyone knows of a DLL or something, let me know.

This can be done rather easily in Paint shop pro (and I suppose photoshop too) with the colour replace tool.

Closest thing to that would be: sprite_replace_color from GMLscripts. You'd have to run it a few times for each color though.

Yes, but if we had individual files for every recolored sprite sheet it would increase the filesize significantly. And probably the loading times, too. I don't know. the actual size of the folders with the character sprites is really low (Naija's folder size is like 44kb) so i dunno if that will increase the game size very significantly. Coloured Arrows with P1, etc... on em?
that will help but still as confusing as the actual pallete system =/ Closest thing to that would be: sprite_replace_color from GMLscripts. You'd have to run it a few times for each color though. oh my god Soulliard you should try that O.O

In the long run, it'd only increase the filesize by a few megabytes, and the sprites would only need to be loaded when they are needed. I'm more concerned with the amount of time it would take, since each character probably has over 100 frames of animation.

that would take some time but Graphics gale makes things easier. maybe a week of hard work ?

Unless I missed something at some point or another (Dont really feel like reading 75 pages and search didnt make it show up...) but why on earth isnt on the roster? Pretty much the most iconic indie game ever.... just saying.

It's in the FAQ. EDIT: I SUCK. It's also on the quote thread, but that's on page 4, so that's forgivable.
