Fate/Stay Night is definitely my favorite game, but then again, it's just literate heavy and has hardly any game aspects (a.k.a. a visual novel). Oh well.

I don't expect anyone to really of heard of this masterpiece, seeming it's Japanese (but theres a translation out there, by Mirror Moon), though I'd recommend it, especially if you've never played through a visual novel before. The art is detailed, the music fits the scene, and the language works pretty damn well. It gives you the insight of Shirou (just another family-stricken guy) which is interesting, and has 3 routes wherein awesome things happen and love is made (h-scenes, beware, but not much). It's very long though, so you'd ought to be prepared.

If anyone has played this game, then share your experiences, and let us have fandom together!

A question asked by fellow friends often is what is your favourite (favorite, for you American folk) game of all the time? All I can say that it's the one with the girl with 'em busts in it.

I only care for the fighting game, not much for the other manga/anime/battle moon forms of it. It's a pretty cool fighter though.

Is that a banana or a boomerang? I'd normally say the latter but the monkey is throwing me off.

This thread provides precious little detail for those of us who have never heard of it and as such provides no incentive to see or play this. What is it about (Fantasy, Sci-fi, romance, murder, war, the setting is totally up in the air)? What are the characters like? Heck, you don't even tell us what platforms it is made for.

The fate/ is a series by the developer Type-Moon. I don't know much about the series other than that it has an anime, manga, and the characters appear in crossover games such as Battle Moon Wars. I THINK it started out as a visual novel on PC but don't quote me on that.

The only game I've been interested in is the fighting game Fate/Unlimited Codes which is developed by Capcom and was an arcade, ps2 and now psp title.

I know next to nothing about the story so you'll have to wiki that, but it's a pretty fun game.

Fate/Stay Night is pretty cool, but what makes you think nobody's heard of it? It's one of, if not THE most popular visual novel, and has something like eight or nine games/spinoffs.

I've played the original, and it's quite good, although Nasu's sex scenes aren't very good, as always(IT FEELS LIKE I'M JIZZING MY ENTIRE INSIDES).

Actually, it's interesting you mention that now, since a couple friends just got into it, and we're thinking about making a Holy Grail War board game. You get a character and a Servant, and move around the board spaces encountering each other. Location-based, a bit like the board of Arkham Horror.
