Guhhhh I think I'm done for today. Got the basics of every part of the game in, and almost 2 levels ready. Gonna post later when more ready.



BIKER GANGS

Super simple Sonic-like game with you controlling motor cycle gang leader, trying to get to the rival gang's hideout as soon as possible, recruiting new gang members along the way. After you get to the hideout, you will fight with the rival gang.

Best feature of the game: every time you start the game, it will generate a name for your gang out of 3900 different possibilities.

I entirely ignored the theme, and had to spend an extra 30 mins to an hour working around dumb Unity beta stuff. The controls are revealed in the game, hopefully everything is self-explanatory!

it's basically a gladiator pushing match against skwabs and other weird things, trying to avoid the lava. mspaint anims and bad photoshop raisin portraits galore

also does anyone who cares have a resolution lower than 1280x720? I'll shrink it to that size if you do

I started last night and spent about 1h40 so far getting some controls and a world working. Right now you run in a circle and can triple jump. Got some animations in as well.

Gameplay wise I couldn't think of anything yesterday night so I will try something later today instead and give it time to soak.

I am really rubbish at jam games, and totally failed this, but I enjoyed the exercise.

Updated the game. Its still not a proper game, but it has a bunch more NPCs now, and they do more things. I swear its going to turn into a game eventually!

Liked your pixel art and timelapse so thought I'd try a vector based version, I need the practice.

Even copying your work took a lot longer than I thought it would, lots of detail so simplified it down to copying repeating elements!
