Luckily it's not a 1v1 game, otherwise it might too often turn into a rock paper scissors kinda game.

in Guild Wars 1 It sometimes turned into Build Wars (Whats that my 3 frontliner Warrior 8v8 GvG Build is fighting F**kin' LEGO WAY AGAIN?! salkdnsadlksadnsad) Warrior = melee/physical Legoway = stacking blocks (aegis in this game)

Who here finds using leap skills the most frustrating thing in the game? haha
You leap to someone below you on stairs ---> fly way past him. You leap to someone just leaving range ---> pointless jump. You leap then get hit with a immobilize/stun ---> stop in mid air. you leap at someone who turns a corner at the end of the jump ---> stuck midway up a building You Leap targeting the ground ---> You do a 360 flip and jump backwards towards the target. (changable in settings, if you Shift click the auto cast abilities off and do some other trick)
That said that warrior build feels SO BRAVE AND STRONG if the first leap hits ensuring the next leaps.

Have you tried the WvW Pandara? I thought I will primarily play PvE with the occasional sPvP (if the ranking system is good enough to give me a chance at winning) but after playing WvW I was blown away. Going through the world and seeing your supply camp under attack by 4 dudes and then rescuing it in just 2 people, manning the catapults to push back an overwhelming enemy force, scouting the territory to see where the enemy is moving. I think I might spend almost as much time in WvW as in PvE

I think I might spend almost as much time in WvW as in PvE Yeah! I totally have enjoyed WvW! It felt like if a zerg of people were coming if you approached it the right way you could deal with a much larger force with a much smaller one. Seriously the traits that say "you shots pierce through targets" are HUGE in WvW when a group of 30-40 people are crossing a bridge, for an example, me and 3 other warrior using that rifle spec could down 10 targets with one shot due to that mechanic. Or me and the same 3 others could set up a 2 arrow cannon and a tech's Mortor (THE BEST elite skill in the game for WvW) on a wall with a gate and hold the gate while reinforcements came, and actually downed about half of the massive ~40 raiding group before more people came to help defend. Though at the same time the enemy could set up their own siege to take down the gate fast. When the enemy is doing that we could send in an assault group of people with range/stealth to sneak back and quickly help take apart the enemy siege before it was too effective. It feels like if you and just 3-4 friends are all that's needed to be a strong effect on everything in WvW (that and coin!)

On one hand it will be great to try new things with my character, but on the other the character I created for the first BWE is the exact character I intend on playing on release. So if I continue playing it I will be spoiling the release for myself. I initially thought that with each BWE there will be a character wipe, so I will try my favourite character first and then some alts. I can still do it of course, but it will be hard to resist my lovely flamethrower-wielding horned white tiger.

Apparently they tiered traits (you can only choose traits 1-6 at first tier, traits 1-10 at second and 1-12 at third) and skills (you have to unlock a certain number of skills from one tier to be able to buy skill from the next), enormous amounts of rage over this on GW2guru. Not that big of a deal for me, I will still unlock all the skills I want by level 80, trait tiers mean less possible builds, but I'm sure it will still be diverse enough.

Ironically it means more builds, for most classes like say warrior you go 30-10-10-10 and just picked up all the bullshit traits in each group. 5 sec invul below 20% health in defense the 6% crit chance trait etc etc. FUN FACT! We will be scrimming vs team paradigm on GW insider!

I apparently don't get hang of WvW. It just doesn't make any sense to me. :< whyy
I guess I'm gonna stick to 'normal' pvp then.

I like the little changes they did to the Engineer, it's nowhere what people expected (no major buffs or overhauls) but it's nice. The flamethrower now displays one damage number that increases the longer you attack, instead of showing separate small numbers every second. Some traits have been joined together, many rebalanced. The pistol first skill seems to deal longer bleed now.
Also, I noticed a very strange thing about burning from flamethrowers 'napalm'. The burning condition is supposed to stack only in duration, not in intensity, and yet the burning from napalm deals much more damage per second than any other burning dealers, plus the burning icon has a little '3' in the corner. What does it mean? Are there many different burns out there?
