Thanks for fixing!

Looks very nice, but damn, it's hard. I get shot to pieces quite fast since you placed two smaller and nearly invincible ships near the start.

Also, I fear it runs quite sluggish on my PC (IE9, Athlon 2.9 GHz, 6 GB Ram, Window 7 64bit). Which is weird, most HTML5 games are super smooth on my rig.

This first test level is very difficult if you don't find some nice powerups from the start.
The final game will not be like this. It will start softly with a simple obstacle course and then some practice targets etc.

I haven't optimized the drawing yet and it would probably help to do everything using WebGL when available, which is the plan.

Thanks for testing!

Game was pretty fun once I got a hang of the controls and it ran really well for me. Camera zoom gets a bit too close for my taste when you're not moving, really cuts down on spatial awareness. I'd also consider changing the colors of the pickups so they don't look like obstacles.

keep at it!

I totally agree about the zoom and the colors. The pickups are suppposed to be animated later on as well.

I'm glad that you liked it and that it ran well. Thanks for trying it out!

Looks great, runs fine for me. The controls were a little confusing at first but I soon got used to it. Good work, keep it up

Thanks!
I keep updating the current version and have added combo "feedback", score bonuses and some other small changes.
Nothing groundbreaking yet though like a new level Smiley

I have added a new, better (??), control mode where you use the mouse to control the direction of the ship and the mouse buttons for fire.
In that mode, WASD is used for movement independent of the direction, which makes everything a lot easier.

You can also change all the keys in the options menu.

It is probably still slow on some systems though. The plan is to use WebGL with a nice looking line renderer Smiley
