To anyone who knows anything about this: I'm looking to set up a donation/art request/buying thing online to raise money for Fan Expo and I need your help. I want to make it as easy as possible for people to make transactions with me, and eliminate as many barriers to getting it done fast and efficiently. If anyone has had experience selling through etsy/society6/their own sites/ whatever else I would love to hear from you.
Related to this: I've decided to try and raise funds to enter as an exhibitor at this year's FanExpo. It's a convention at the Metro Convention Centre for comics/games/anime/movie fans. One aspect of this convention is an artist's alley. The cost of the bare minimum booth is $375+taxes, which means if I want to be a part I need to raise that money. I thought, what better way to both prepare and fundraise than to offer my services!
http://www.fanexpocanada.com/ Here's a link to the convention's site. It's the only thing in Southern Ontario that I have found that caters to artists like myself, and it would mean so much if you guys could help me out.
The more you are willing to donate, the more effort I will put in to the drawing. Wanna pay $1 to make me draw a bowl of cereal? Cool. Wanna pay $5 to get a Boba Fett portrait? Awesome. Whatever you can think of I will do, and the more you give me, the more I give back. If you spend enough I will get it printed and shipped to you too! Name your price, name your subject and I will do it. All of the money raised will go towards getting myself in this Expo.
If I reach my goal I will try and think of something extra uber special to give to all contributors as a token of my appreciation.
Please help me out, it would mean a hell of a lot. Let your friends know, let anyone you know, know.
