I have friends who call Endless Ocean for the Wii "Endless Boring".

I enjoyed it.

Time to bring fish collecting to the past... of the present!

08/16/2008 - UPDATE
Hello everyone!  I've come here with a delicious update for Eternal Sea, my little Demake game for the Demake competition!

New things in this version:
- 4 of the final 24 sea creatures are available to photograph, some being time sensitive
- The encyclopedia is available for viewing for sea creatures you've taken pictures of
- I composed two songs for the game - "The Main Theme" and "Eternal Sea - Night" and they are in the game.
- The game has sound FX now.

I played it for a bit, and thought that it was pretty cool. The fish descriptions remind me of the Animal Crossing, "I caught it!" messages, which is nice. I noticed that the music, while good, seemed a bit sparse. Besides that, I have nothing more to say, mostly because I really should be getting back to my compo game. Wink

Really liked the mood of the game but you should think about using something else than an .ini or maybe fill the file with lots of weird groups so that players wouldn't know what to change.

Agreed.  I'm going to be encrypting and decrypting that file soon.  Thanks for the heads up though!  Smiley

As someone who owns and enjoys Endless Ocean, this is quite awesome.  It really captures the feel of the Wii game.

I played it for a little bit, and found the mood of it pretty good, though things seemed a little sparse for the short time I played it...

nice work.

i like the soothing feel and the idea to explore a peaceful underwater world with a camera. - a bit more life could make it more interesting though... i would definitely like to see more fishes, floating jellyfishes Smiley and more plants.

the backgrounds looks fine.. basically, all what i saw and heared was well done, and clean. for my taste it's just a bit too less action Smiley.

(idea: it could even work with kind of a scoring mechanism, for example by giving points for each shot according to the speed and rarity of a fish (but that's probably different to the original game, i don't know that one). you couldn't get hurt, but you could still make points. but i don't know if that makes much sense.. it would be kind of an optional challenge...)
