Started working on some basic HUD for Renegade Sector Pilot.  Theres now an actual crossair instead of a cube, and the green rectangles show you the edges of where you can aim (and thus the edges of where you can move)

Trying something different for this particular stage's background, where the higher you climb, the lower in the background you can see. Also the background is very bland right now, planning on filling in all the forest as soon as I finish the stage layout.

wow, I'm guessing there's a ton of assets to make or something because that's the only reason I could see for you needing an artist

@Sprout - That looks really smooth! I like the growing effect. Is it shape / morph animations that make them grow?

Whoa thank you!

We have basically a random path mask generated and then the vine grows along those while the leaves are just a couple of sprite sheet animations set at random angles and sizes for variation.

Erm... Is that what you were asking? >>
