Seriously, who the fuck cares about pixel resolution in a game with high-res art?
...
Are you going to throw your controller down in disgust while playing a perfectly good game because the hud art is slightly more detailed than the ground tiles? It's irrelevant.

Haha.  You do have a point there, but to answer your question I'd say It's typically the developers that want to care about these things.  I'd say a large majority of the work done on a game is never directly noticed by the players, but helps the quality of a product as a whole regardless.  I know I personally care about these small things when I make games.

Totally didn't mean to derail the thread.  I'm not offended by the filtering in the slightest from a player's perspective.  I was simply curious and wanted to offer advice from one artist/developer to another.  Kind of the point of these forums, no?

Is there a devlog for this thing somewhere or a more appropriate place to give this sort of feedback?  ( so we don't continue to derail Tongue )

@Sean very nice. I love the look. It reminds me a bit of the Woodbot Pilots project that was built as an interactive art installation by DesignChapel using Unity3d (which I think you're using based on the grid lines)

Wowzers!! Woodbot Pilots looks awesome.  I love the look of this, gonna have to forward this to our 3d artist.

Oh, and the form of the ship reminds me of S.T.U.N. Runner the more I keep thinking about it, Smiley. That's a really good thing. I love the heck out of that game.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks again!

Here is a snippit: When we first started making the game i think there was an issue of National Geographic on my desk that contained the print version of this advert (click for video)...

and whilst were not actually going for this exact look it was definitely an influence.

Working on an engine for a team project. Just finished ghost platforms (the blue ones), the red thing is a vertical moving platform.

All graphics are just placeholders except the tileset, which needs a bit more work  Gomez

So what are you working on? is more appropriate for screens if you don't want to wait until Saturday imo. Aside from keeping the thread's title relevant, it's like christmas morning if we wait until Saturday to post the goods here.

I'm less concerned with Derek's sprite resolution and more concerned with what his dirty subconscious is sneaking into his tiles...
