We've added force to projectile so they can kick back or torque targets based on the location of the impact. Original implementation had it such that the closer to the side you hit the more the force is converted to torque, but we found that was too granular an implementation so we've switched it to just 3 impact zone (left, right, center). Much more readable for the player this way and the binary of a torque or force hit helps delineate gameplay behaviors.




Not much to talk about here, besides that we've got stuff blowin up good now:

kingPenguin drawn a better button for mission dialog. Working on a mission system for Wormhunter, almost done. Here is a screenshot of a villager telling the player about the mission. In the balloon is the icon for telling the player where to go. There are three types of icons: Which monster, directions and mood of the villager. For now a screenshot. Hopefully I can share a new movie of Wormhunter in action.

glad you expanding this! ive played your ld entry a while ago and it had a nice mood. your screenshot doesnt looks like youve lost anything of the mood

The mood of the game is really important for us. We are trying to add only what is necessary. So we re-iterate over newly added assets a lot and this mission thing is not done by far. Today I am going to try out something different for the accepted icon ( on the right bottom of the balloon ).
