Bit late to the party this week:   I did some art for the storyline map today ( Courier of the Crypts) and this is how it looks in game so far.  This looks awesome. Despite the gradient + pixel art look not really making sense, I think it creates a really nice atmosphere so it doesn't matter too much. It's hard to do smooth lighting in a retro way. |
