Doing art for the sixth boss now. I think I've quite much got the design down (in my head).

It's a bit shame that the trailer music (and other similar tracks) won't be playing during the game cause the music fits really perfectly.

It will be the main theme. Also, I just made a twitter account for ESA! Hopefully it'll contain some easy-to-follow information regarding the game. Follow it at https://twitter.com/ESAdevlog

Followed! That boss looks pretty menacing. Great job! I like the colors you've got going, too!
If I may ask, were you going to sell this, and for how much were you aiming?

Thanks! Yeah, my intention is to try to get it on Steam, although I'm not certain if it's really 'good enough' to pass. As for the price, I have no idea - I haven't really thought about it yet. I feel that I want to have the game almost done before really looking at the business side of things.

I personally don't like what I've heard about the Greenlight thing, though - I fear it'll be filled with desperate attempts to make some bucks and the gems will drown into the background noise (or then it'll become like the flash game scene and the system will favour games that are addictive and catch one's attention quickly). This isn't related to ESA in any way, though.

I'm sure valve will moderate the entries. If not, it'll be full of LOLMSPAINT games

Way too simplistic motion at the moment, that's for sure. That's from the third phase of the fight. My original intention was to have the final form of the plant boss be some kind of machinery that you have to shut down, but it felt really underwhelming and I decided for it to take a creepier turn.
Currently the final form chases the player, whips with the tentacles and then there are turrets that shoot bullets. Quite simple, and I'm not really happy with it yet.

Decided to upload a picture of the level editor I use for ESA: It's rather simple and ugly, but does the job well. The only thing it might need would be stuff like inbuilt camera movement triggers and such (so that I wouldn't have to do every cutscene manually, which is how it works currently). Oh well! To be honest, one of the biggest things I've learned from ESA has been how to create good enough level editors! This knowledge will surely be helpful in the future.

Can you zoom in? I can't imagine designing levels using 8x8 tiles without zooming in.
