Just watched episode 3. That was fucking pointless. It's just a rehash of episode 1, but with the "twist" of mixing up the teams a bit. And nobody even got booted off (which also didn't come as a surprise, because of course they couldn't do that when they'd mixed up the teams!). Why the hell can't the show just be about teams working on making games, not just coming up with Flash game concepts?! It's like they realized that watching teams programming, designing and fleshing out a game isn't as much fun (to the regular viewer) as watching a team coming up with random concepts in 60 minutes.

I really wish we had a 30 minute reality show where you followed 2-3 teams actually making a game over the course of several months. Kinda like a behind the scenes featurette. No stupid game showey twists and competitions -- just teams struggling with making a game. Or if it had to be a game show/competition, do it like this:

1) Like American Idol or X-Factor, have an open audition where indie teams can pitch their game concepts.
2) Judges select 6 teams.
3) These teams get the equipment and a bit of funding each week to work on their games.
4) At the end of each week, they present their work so far and a team gets voted off.
5) The remaining teams get to continue working on their game for another week funded by the show.
6) The final remaining team gets their game published on XBLA or Steam or whoever the producers could secure a deal with.

I was more thinking smaller/up-and-coming teams, but yeah, I'm looking forward to their doc.

And once again the most original, interesting and promising game gets voted off. This show hates games.

That one of the reasons i stop seeing this show. Too bored, too "AAA", too standard. And i love to see @Christian Knudsen 's idea, because we can see all the development process, good and bad moments, using their best abilities to get their games well done.

Damn sponsors...
