I like Team Bean and Team Fist Puncher. The first one is interesting and the other one is hilarious (a dog with wig ). Team Circle Strafe, try next time because your idea was too simple and boring.

I vote that Circle Strafe dude's shiny lip piercing as the next game boss. Anyway, video is pretty awful and bad. Couldn't help but think that combined they definitely hit one or two Indie Gaming Bingos.

I'm not sure if they want legitimate developers as much as they want people who are willing to make fools of themselves like a lot of people in this show. The black dude who was constantly wearing shades was a joke.

I like how the guest judge was a producer from Star Wars Kinect. Haha, holy shit... This is pretty sad. I was actually going to go down there and check it out/apply, but I'm glad I didn't. Er... lol

The black dude who was constantly wearing shades was a joke. The guy who was always wearing the goggles represented about 90% of the people I went to school with in the gaming-related majors. I don't understand it.

Oh man, this is legitimately one of the best things I've seen in a while! Like, at first it's really irritating because it's violating all of your principles, but after awhile it becomes the best thing ever to see them misusing terms like "8-bit" and trying to pitch Canabalt clones. Forget Indie Gaming Bingo, this series is playing for BLACKOUT.
(then again, i'm the kind of person who enjoys watching asylum films, so...)

Hahaha, you guys are cracking me up... I noticed the horrible misuse of referring to something with visible pixels as "8bit"... FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU

I was pretty close to applying for this. I didn't even know it existed until a friend offered to put in a good word for me since he knew the show's producers. Unfortunately I was starting at a new job and there was no way I was going to get the time off.
Even if it is a low-budget cash-in deal, it's great for exposure as long as you don't make a fool of yourself. Everyone who comments on the show (from what I've seen) is pretty crazy for Team Bean, I'm sure his fanbase has increased dramatically from just that one episode.

It is season two. From what I understand, this season follows a different format, these teams aren't involved with the Indie Fund and workspace thing.

so where is season 1? did it also follow an 'elimination' system, or did it work differently?
also, phubans, keep in mind that they probably recorded about 20 hours of video, and then edited it down to 15 minutes, choosing the cheesiest/stupidest moments, so i wouldn't necessarily judge these guys by the video. it's likely that they just occasionally did a funny thing while most of the time being serious, and the editor was like 'let's include that one stupid moment they had because it's funny'

Season 1 was only like 2 episodes long, and it was a contest between the groups that were using the workspace IGN provided as part of their Indie Fund gig, if I remember right. Cryptic Sea is the only dev I can remember offhand. And yeah, there was a lot left on the cutting room floor. Bean was telling me that he was bummed they cut out his favorite parts of his pitch. 15 minutes isn't a lot of time for that many people.
