but this is art, paul.
I could bring a dog that is actually my lover along. and then kill it with an axe. while singing a patriotic song. and then fly. to the moon.
and while I'm all for discussing how our choices have effected us. I'm just not into discussions about truth in art. Because none'o y'all know shizz. there ain't no eternal truth.
at least not an achievable one, we all fall short of our ideals. and ideally, an ideal is only wholly an ideal when it is purely itself. So give it up. cuz you aint no hairless dog.

something being art doesn't mean you can do anything without justification and get away with it (which unfortunately is how some "art games" use it), and this is especially true when you're in an IGN competition against other indies and need to impress the judges more than the other contestants do. it's not like making a dog with a wig is someone's dream game, or some artistic sentiment, it was something they came up in a couple of hours with because they thought it'd impress the IGN judges
if it were true that nothing mattered as long as it was art, then the entire point of that competition would be invalidated, because everyone would be a winner
although the only person with even a little bit of artistic talent (that bean guy) was already voted off the show, so... maybe a dog with a wig was the correct choice for these particular judges?

exactly. and since you can't get away with a dog with a wig, therefore it's not art
(haha)

Haha. That's good.
I guess I wasn't really looking at the other side of that when I posted.

so you want everyone to not care about life, and not put in the effort to improve others or try to change anything? i can understand not caring about anything very strongly, but it's strange that someone who doesn't care about things cares when *others* care about things, and wants them not to care about things -- reminds me of a care bears villain I have to say, I love that you have esoteric Care Bears knowledge ready to bust out at the drop of a hat.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Care_Bears_Movie has got a special place in my heart cause it was the first movie i ever saw in a movie theater (that i can remember): it was 1985, i was 6 years old, and i remember that it was a cold day, and i was shivering. i asked my mother why i was shaking and she explained what shivering is for that said it's hardly esoteric, that movie grossed 34 million dollars worldwide, the care bears were a thing in the 80s, ask anyone my age if they recognize that villain and chances are a lot of them will

I grew up in the 80s and never saw Care Bears... You're older than me and you should have known better than to watch a girl anime like that. I was playing with He-MAN, Battle Beasts, and Legos... Manly toys.

I'm a child of the 80's, and I watched the Care Bears. That being said I don't really remember any specifics about the Care Bears (I'm aware that they each had an emotion/state of mind, I remember the Care Bear cousins that weren't bears, etc.), but couldn't pull out Care Bear village knowledge at a moments notice.

I had some Care Bears vhs cassettes in 90's and I watched them rather much when small. I can remember something about some episodes and villains. In my time none of popular boys' cartoons were shown (like Turtles or Heman) so I mostly watched our VHS cassettes over and over again. Especially Tom & Jerry and "Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner". The first real Tv-animation that hit me like 1000 volts was pokemon

I hate this show but I watched episode 3 again today.
I am addicted to hating it, I think.

i only have knowledge of the movies, i didn't really watch the tv series, which was vastly inferior (in animation, writing, etc.) to the movies
