I'd love a glimpse at that brainstorming. Good choice, btw!

Well, the first graphic is up!
It's the main character design and possibly the race you will play as.
Of course, it looks quite basic now, but it will become more awesome as you collect items throughout the game!

On a side-note: if I want the picture to be smaller, do I have to do this by hand or is there a handy way to make it a bit smaller? It's on the first post. Smiley

I love the character design, looks pretty solid, and for some obscure reason reminds me of Another World, although you could make it a bit more personalised/memorable. The face/hair is amazing, but maybe you could add some details to the clothing (even if it is bound to change later), or anything that makes him a bit more distinct - a robotic arm, a massive utility belt, pipes going through the stomach with green liquid inside (what? nevermind, too tired here), or whatever fits the game's setting (obviously you're not going to put a robotic arm into a fantasy game, so you'll have to come up with something that is fitting, yet can be looked at as somewhat of a character trademark). At any rate, really good job for an early draft, keep the good stuff coming! Smiley

Also: is that thingy under his eyes his nose our mouth? Hope it's the mouth, looks cooler that way. Smiley
And one more thing: maybe you could try making the hands (not the arms, the hands) somewhat bigger, I think it would make the character look nicer.
Personal opinion only though.

Yes, I have some ideas to make the character more distinct.
This character might just as well be a design to sketch out the race of the people in the game. I have some ideas too for the groups in the world, so stay tuned.

And I agree with the hands, they should be bigger. Some of the parts are sort of out of proportion anyway, but yeah.
The black part under his eyes is his nose, for now. I'm not sure if I'm going to give him a clear mouth, see if it looks alright and if it keeps a bit of originality.

I believe I emailed some feedback, but really, weapon design could be more fitting to your overall setting.

To downsize, you CAN try a scaling tool, and try touching up from there, but that's almost as much work as doing it over anyways. Upscaling is far easier to do touchup work with than downscaling, so start as small as you can get away with, then multiply into the desired range and redetail from there.

Well, I wasn't talking about touchup work, I do that after the scaling. There was no touching up on this particular picture though.
I was rather talking about making the picture appear smaller on the forum. Smiley

I've made a "fake" screenshot of the character.
So what I mean with this is, I've created the character for use in-game, and made a simple background behind him.
I hope you like it!
