All started with this tweet (https://twitter.com/#!/AdventIslands/status/175174992416358400), which I replied to him saying that I had the opposite problem (designing characters), and then we talked about it and at the end he did the protagonist's design. He did a really fine job, and I couldn't be happier with the current design.

@Squid Party Yeah, he will work on portraits for the other portraits.

So I've no more tests to study for, so I can work on this again (yay!). The engine is getting finished, although there's still some work to do.
Here's the dialog implementation. From the three, what is the one you prefer?



(I haven't implemented that yet, but I'll try to make the portraits animated with a "pencil" effect, ala "Hotel Dusk". Also the background that is blurred isn't finished yet.)

Finally I want to try to post more regularly, so instead of big posts with many contents I want to do small posts with some contents that come more often. I don't want to take this posting strategy as commitment though, so I'll see if I feel like doing it.  
I missed working on this game, but now I can do it, which is awesome. This time without working on it made me think of some cool ideas I can implement to it.

And here I've been trying really hard to break free from my usual Japanese influenced style.

Unless that's what Manuel prefers then I don't worry if she looks animeish.
