"We made an announcement at GDF for the Nemesys Game Academy telling others of our "open door" policy. We want the opportunity to be open to everyone that might be interested in the gaming world.
Starting today at 17:00 UTC+1, we will be inviting everyone in from the community to come and participate. Every week we will have after hours workshops and mentoring sessions to help boost the indie gaming community here in Hungary, or even the surrounding regions if you choose to make the trip! To start off every Tuesday evening, we will be showing talks from previous GDC events to get everyone in the mood.
We will cover topics from programming, artwork, all the way to the business side of things. Bring in your projects, bring your ideas, and bring your enthusiasm to make games! We are looking forward to meeting everyone in the community and helping them prosper. If you have any questions in regards to the program, please feel free to contact us at

There is a very small development community here in Budapest, Hungary and we want to change it. We are reaching out wherever we can to pull people together and allow them to share with each other. Not just their games, but their experiences as well, because that is what builds community.
As of now, there is no curriculum in Hungarian higher education that will assist people in getting into the industry and this is something that deeply bothers us. We are trying to change this on a political level the best we can, but politics is slow, so we decided to take things into our own hands as well. We are very open to new ideas and that is why we wanted to share with everyone at TIGSource, because we know you all would care! If you have any thoughts on what the program should include to help push the Hungarian development community forward, please let us know. Thank you all for taking the time to read this.
