Hello everyone, My name's Moritz, I'm a composer / sound designer / audio-engineer guy based in Hamburg, Germany. My educational background is performance - jazz vocals and piano - and yet somehow I ended up spending more time recording my own stuff at the studio than on stage. Now I work for the German Wahnsinn and: occasionally do music for my other passion, games! Depending on your budget and time, I can provide any style from sampled composition with live guitars, basses, piano, vocals and percussion to band/ensemble- or full-on orchestral section recordings. Sound design and voice recordings are also part of my service, if you should need it. My most recent game compositions can be heard in Fort Meow by Upper Class Walrus. Shoot me a mail if you want to get in contact! Cheers! Moritz

I have a problem recommending Moritz... he does really excellent work and I'm worried that one of you will hire him full-time and pull him away from our projects. I cannot more strongly recommend Moritz. His sound work is excellent, but even more so is his professionalism. He communicates regularly, he is thorough, he pays attention to detail, and he's happy to rework things that need tweaking. Creatively he is right on the mark. He understood the tone of our game immediately and really enhanced it with his sound - our beta testers have all complimented us on the music. Thanks for your great work, Moritz. I look forward to working with you again in the future, hopefully on many projects to come. -- Scott Love, CEO, Tin Truck

I've got to say, this is wonderful stuff. I especially admire how you feature your woodwinds while many, if not most, composers like to bury them under the strings.
Great work!

I'm interested in what you consider "indie rates"

Hey there, I'm interested in what you consider "indie rates" Rule of thumb: just enough so I can fill my fridge. Not too much because I might end up spending it all on beer'n'gear. (and lose all my valuable indie cred) Seriously though: My rates are always customized. I give big discounts to start-ups! (I love to network and meet new dev teams) Shoot me a mail with details about your project... ...and we'll figure something out that's fair to both sides - even if you're working on a shoestring budget! By details, I mean things like: - How many tracks and/or sound effects do you need?
- How soon do you need them?
- What style are you thinking of?
- How and on which platform(s) are you planning to release your game?
This info will help me give you a good deal. Cheers, Moritz

Many thanks for the positive response I'm getting for my music and sounds! Just a quick heads-up: I'm all booked out at the moment, so I won't be able to take on any more jobs until mid of July.Again, your job offers and feedback are much appreciated! Cheers, Moritz P.S.: Why not follow me on Twitter to keep updated on some nifty Indie Game Music? Don't worry, I only tweet in English.

Happy New Year everyone! 2013 has been quite eventful - I've started working full-time as a composer and sound designer for a studio here in Hamburg. I'm producing a lot of music, sound design and post production for the colorful world of advertisement, films, documentaries, animations etc. in a great work environment with awesome colleagues and state-of-the-art technology, housed in my very own control room next to a big recording room with lots of fancy instruments and expensive microphones and a fridge filled with various soft drinks... so yes, basically everything is great over here. I'm confident as ever, living the dream and so on. ...Thing is, I miss doing stuff for games! And thankfully, the studio has no problem with me using the rooms and equipment to do freelance business. So this might be your chance to get that pro sound everyone's talking about, for small moneys. (Though I will take big moneys if you have them, too.)My personal website is horribly outdated and I'll probably replace it with a simple blog soon. However, you can still check my SoundCloud for music. Or, you know, shoot me a mail, even if it's just to say "Guten Tag". Hope to hear from you soon! Cheers, Moritz
