Love the aesthetic, though it does look hectic (much like the original) and I like the chiptunes, though maybe making something a bit more melodic would have fallen more into the original's style. The gameplay's good too, and TimW always gets ridiculous highscores in shmups. Guy's a beast.

I don't get why this game tries to connect to the internet, and I don't let anything through the firewall unless I've got a good idea of what it needs to connect for.

i would react exactly the same... Smiley
but somewhere i already said that it's done like that, because it's better to let the firewall ask for net access before you make it through the game... it would block the game exactly in the wrong moment: when you win... that's why.
