* Android related fixes to the options screen, will be pushing out an update with it today
* Working towards a unified spell system, where the spells attached to a monster, wand, or scroll can be data driven
* Added a beam spell using the above spell system! Attached to the lightning wand right now

Looking forward to the android update today Smiley, just wondering but will the update include some of the added features you've put in the past few updated jars or will it mainly be the new option screen?

Cheers.

Wooww lol, the play store pushes out updates so quickly lol. Updated and giving it a try now thanks!

Edit:

Quick update, the options screen looks really good and to the point. Being able to resize the UI and buttons is awesome :D

I get "The Java JAR file “delver-alpha-5-27-12.jar” could not be launched." on OS 10.5.8 - is Java no longer supported on Leopard?  Reading the readme lead to the Java page which lead me to Software Update which had no Java updates.

Still really looking forward to trying it, as I'm on something of a dungeon crawler frenzy at the moment.  Wizard

I think Apple stopped bundling Java with Mac OS X, so now you just have to download it from Oracle. Go to java.com

Yeah I tried that and it told me:

"Java for Apple

Apple supplies their own version of Java. Use the Software Update feature (available on the Apple menu) to check that you have the most up-to-date version of Java for your Mac."

Oh, OK. Guess I was wrong.

Maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Does it run at all? The only reason I can imagine for it not working would be not having java installed on the computer

Game balance seems WAY different in the 5/30 release.  Am I wrong?

-Weapons and armor seem much harder to find.  I could almost only find food and potions.

-Level layout seems more complex

-Twice, I got fried in ONE shot from a level 4 monster BEFORE I got the Orb.  I rarely get killed anymore on the way down. I don't know if monsters are stronger now, or I was just weaker from not finding good armor

-After getting killed and starting a new game from the menu, two times I started at the normal location but instead of the usual instructionary greeting, I saw "E to pick up Ice Wand" (which wasn't there)and I already had some items in inventory!

Have you installed Java?

Runs fine for me, and there is no reason why it shouldn't for you, unless Java is not installed. Or are there other things occurring too? 'Doesn't Work' is not a very helpful description of your problem.

Random items are placed on set tiles. Since the first level of the dungeon has only leather armor, potions, wands, iron weapons, and now food set to spawn, food and potions will be more common because there are 12 different types that can spawn. Armor and weapons being only 8 differet types that can spawn.

If there were set tiles that ONLY spawn food or ONLY spawn weapons that might fix that problem.

Once I get to stage 5 movement gets really jerky, and the frame rate stutters to hell.

* New enemies
* Status effects - can now be poisoned
* Removed auto health regen, now eating food gives a restore health status effect for a time

Game balance seems WAY different in the 5/30 release.  Am I wrong?

There are two changes I made which could have affected the balance: the addition of food, and tweaking the monster's magic missile spell damage roll.

Loot, laying around, is following this rule:
20% - armor
20% - weapon
20% - potion
25% - food
15% - wand

and then a random item at the right level is picked from one of those buckets. Any suggestions on changes to this ratio?

The long tunnel sections with items at the end could be changed a bit. Since they're optional I think that the items at the end of them should have a higher chance of being better. It is a bit disappointing to go all the way to the end only to get broken leather armor.

Yes it does run. escape crashes it as well as going to lvl 2. Tried putting it into a different folder too.

I posted about this earlier with more than "doesn't work" Plus this is a known issue but other people seem to get it working. I have java. I have updated java. I have put delver into different folders. I've tried running it in windows xp mode.

Yes it does run. escape crashes it as well as going to lvl 2.
