It saddens me a little that to all these young players, a low resolution texture always reminds them of Minecraft first and foremost. I guess Minecraft really made a greater impact than I expected toward bringing back low resolution pixel art as a viable graphics style for highly successful games.

Interrupt, are you planning on taking this game as far as you can go with it? Do you plan to market it at some point or is it more of a hobby project? I'm just curious.

Minecraft's the only 3D game with super-low res textures I can think of.

Great experience. I got the orb, but got swarmed by 3 skeleton mages and two skeletons before even getting out of the last floor. Waaagh!

I really like it so far, keep up the good work! Coffee

I really enjoyed playing this! Kiss

I got brutally murdered but I'm going to try again once I get home. One thing, the game is pretty dark but the death screen red is really bright. It actually hurt my eyes a little when it suddenly popped up.

Keep up the excellent work!

Sorry, I didn't mean to... I just wanted to give it as an example of another game which uses that style, since you only knew of Minecraft. My apologies Gentleman

That's pretty neat, hadn't seen that before. Hopefully he's still working on it.

New update: Delver Alpha 4-18-12
* Fixed some alpha blending issues with the GL10 path
* Added support for more than one game screen, switched the game over message to it's own new screen
* Death screen is 30% less blindingly red
* Game is now winnable, added a win screen that is shown when you escape with the Orb (Will need to start a new game for this to work)

Probably going to package this version up tomorrow as an APK for Android, and throw it out on the 'Play Store'

Why put it on the store so soon? It's an alpha version, why not just put the APK here?

Mainly I need to justify turning down freelance work to keep spending a few hours every morning working on this. I've been testing on phones that I can track down and I've ironed out all the big crash bugs I can find and the game is winnable so I think it's ready to release as a fully playable, but still very early, alpha.

Ah, best of luck then!

Will it cost money initially?

Yeah, I'm thinking it will be something like $3.99.
