Hey guys, my name is Woody and my team and I are currently recruiting artists and writers for our tile-based strategy game. We need artists for character design, map design, effect design, UI design, object design, and animation. We need writers who can assist with the single-player campaign story, the game setting, character design, and overall world design.

So far the game setting is kind of a cross of Voltron and Megaman, meaning primarily sci-fi but with enough swords and sorcery to keep things interesting. We are aiming to push a Teen rating.

I'm primarily funding this project through Kickstarter. The nature of this project is that all team members are essentially volunteers. I do plan to compensate team members to the best of my ability, but do to the nature of Kickstarter funding, our budget could be anywhere from $50 to $500,000 (or beyond!). It just depends on how much of an interest we can garner from the Kickstarter community. The typical amount of funding attained by similar projects has been within the $15,000-$30,000 range. In addition to Kickstarter funding, this game does have the potential to be commercially successful. Besides simply selling downloads of the game, we plan to develop a system where players can download various costume pieces for their in-game units. If the game does achieve commercial success, all active team members would get a cut of that profit. If you decide to join the team and we aren't able to get an acceptable level of funding, you would be free to break away to work on better-paying projects.

If interested, you can contact me at [email protected] and I will be happy to answer any questions you might have. Remember that no previous experience is required to be considered for a team position, but examples of your work will be appreciated. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you!
