This is looking really good! Also: I was a bit of a douche on my first post and I apologize.

I, as usual, have no ideas. I hope to have some one day.
Really like the idea though.

UPDATE!
So I got battling working now. The player no longer just plows through enemies.
(This took much longer than one would think because of how things were set up.)

(The upside to figuring it out is now the players and enemies can have multiple behavior states, so they can do lots of fun stuff now. Like be poisoned or fall down holes, or even drive racecars if I wanted them too! :D)

Enemies now have stats like the player. Combat feels solid. Some basic sound effects are in place. I have strong ideas and good goals in sight so there should be a little demo out by tomorrow to give people a taste. Thanks so much for all of your support. I know without it I wouldn't have gotten through this hump of "game dev depression." I'm feeling really positive and confident about this guys, the fans really make it worth it. It's 3:47 am here, expect hefty posts tomorrow with juicy updates.

Edit: "Tomorrow" being today. ._.

Here's a demo, I don't know if this one's going to see a finish line unfortunately.

I've lost steam and ambition for the project, no good direction other than more 'this' more 'that.'

The demo is two short levels with two enemy types.

Game should crash at the end of the second level, though I haven't tested this yet.

If you don't collect all of the gold, you could theoretically keep fighting things and leveling up without ending the game, for whatever that's worth.

Also I would stick to fighting skeletons while you're level 1, because the Grue's will eat you alive.

That site looks really cool. They have a slew of good ideas there. Thanks for sharing!
Maybe if I don't end up finishing this I can find something good there.

Your game idea reminded me of this, so I thought you had referenced this

Is that all you got? Pointless.
Are you kidding this game sounds awesome and has a lot of potential. Everyone has their own opinion but there are nicer ways too put this out there. By saying that this is pointless your discouraging indie game devs from completing games. Also to the creator, digging the rougelike style!

He was actually referring to an earlier version of the first post which didn't actually say very much, but it was all cleared up.

Hope you can see to working on this alittle more, but I absolutely understand what it's like to lose steam/motivation for a project.
