Hi, TIGSource! I need to talk about our project, that called Frozen Hearts. Sorry for my English, but it's not my native language.  Smiley


Developer: Twin Studios
Engine: Game Maker
Start of development: October 2011
End of development: April 2013?
Platforms: Windows, Mac, ?

Frozen Hearts is currently in the development and it will release in ~april 2013. We put on an exciting storyline and interesting gameplay. Genre of the game is a mixture of platformer, stealth and action. The main goal of the majority of levels is killing the monks and getting to exit. But game will be hardcore. Here there are place and chase, and battles, and stealth.

Story is divided into 12 chapters. The game tells us the story of the underground organization called "followers", that stood up against the corrupt government and the monks in the medieval town Beastfly.

The hero, the leader of the Followers, is called Whyte Gate. He is assisted by his right hand, Peerown. There are also another characters:
Moke - a beginner.
Abram - supplier of arms.
Chiller - the information provider.

Our main goal is to create interesting gameplay. So that will be interesting to hide, kill and run away.

Now it looks like this:

If you see a ladder, climb on it to the other side and you see a security guard. Climb higher, it is better to attack. Aim, swings and kill him wis a well-aimed hit with a dagger in the neck. Hiding the body, making your way forward. Seeing a monk hiding in a vase, and when he walks past and no longer sees you, you jump out, and a blow with an axe. Seeing the guard that comes your way, break up the light behind him and he runs back to see what happened. You sneak across the roof to come closer to him, and stumbles. He sees you and screams. To come running to you are all close by guards. In this situation, you need to either run away and hide, or to kill all the witnesses. That is something like.  Smiley

The game is constantly updated and getting better with each passing day, as I would also like to write here. We want to develop this game, unless it is such a quality as we were.

And even it is somewhat incomplete, but she already has many fans, who loves her and supports a development.  Smiley

Bugs?.. Hmm... Only one bug with the locales, but I hope, that you will solve this problem.

первый раз выдал серию ошибок в туториале, после первой комнаты
запустил по второй, в этот раз меню глюкануло - вместо new game и тд, отображает en.locale, ger.locale и тд
нажал en.locale и сразу ошибка:
 Error in code at line 5:
   text[4] = control.locale[33]
                     ^
at position 20: Unknown variable locale or array index out of bounds

появляется надпись Frozen Hearts, жму Enter, опять ошибка:

и потом еще целая серия ошибок, пришлось закрыть =(

Нет, первый раз я выбрал английский.
Забавная ситуация - удалил из папки locales все языки, кроме русского, игра заработала, ни одной ошибки. Потом вернул их обратно в папку, игра опять работает!
Что же тогда в первые разы пошло не так?

Да, кстати, саундтрек замечательный!

Deleting of locale files (not all) not crashes game. Thanks for feedback, but this problem have not met before any of the testers.

- Updated the credits
- Added a new track
- Removed unnecessary code
- Removed the shift key
- Identifiers are replaced by keys
- Fixed a big bug with music
- If the music or the sound turned off, their volume is now equal to zero
- After the change of volume of music and sounds, they can play with this volume immediately
- Fixed a bug with the damage from falling
- Following the release of titles, the music stops
- Fixed sound playing in the credits
- Removed Herobrine

- Fixed a bug in the credits
- The last episode was renamed to Ashes
- Updated locales
- Each time the source, it is now synchronized with Dropbox
- Removed unnecessary code
- In debug mode added information: Number of copies of the snow
- Added a control count of instances of snow
- Fixed bug with snow
- Now comes more shallow snow
- Reduced the radius of the appearance of snow
- Big snow now looks closer than a small
- The snow is now created in a different way
- Added a new track
