Hi thanks for just looking at this post I really appreciate your time. I am a 17 year old game designer i have been designing and in love with games since i was very young. I have now moved into designing video games I have no released games yet but hope you see that I can make a good game based on the ideas i have and the experience i have. I am looking for a team to help me build a hand crafted audio creative exploration game.

The members i am looking for is a 3D artist and animator to make player animations and creatures and help me with static models for set pieces and just environment stuff in general there is no real requirements for this position besides knowing how to make 3d models and do 3d animation. The second position I am look to fill is for a programmer. For this there are some requirements just because I have some ideas set in place that require 3D. The programer needs to be able to either code javascript or some language that works in unity or be able to build and engine that can allow for complex scripting events and be able to load 3d models from maya or blender and allow me/others to create complex environments. Last but definitely not least we will need a composer(this is a audio creative exploration game after all). The composer has to not only be able to make a atmospheric ambient music but also needs to create sound effects and small interchangeable segments to allow us to create an ever changing audio experience and if you can make a sound effects that would be very helpful. Yea I have kind of a basic idea that i want to flow throughout the game so I am gonna lead the design but I am willing to take inout form all members of the team to help improve the game.

This game is going to be a audio creative space that also has a large amount of exploration. The game is going to have a really ambient feel to it. The game is inspired by many games the main inspirations are Journey, Flower, Minecraft, Ico, Braid and Fez. I am hoping to make the game a experience that the player can take something away from and not just something they played once that one time.

What I Bring to the Table
I am mostly interested in the design of game and what the game give to the player as an experience(sorry if i sound pretentious but that what I feel most strongly about in games right now). I am have been doing game design since i was three making card games about being a super hero/ secret agent. I love game design I think its really amazing how through just the placement of objects you can change the mood of the player. I am also a learning programmer and newbie 3D and 2D artist I can't really animate but i will be making set pieces and static models for environment stuff.

The Time Line of This Game
I am thinking this will be a 6 month to a 12 month project I'm not really sure what it will take but I want to make a game that people will remember and enjoy. I myself am going to take as much time as i feel is necessary until the game finished in my eyes and all the people who work on its eyes.

Design Philosophy and Ideas
The main idea of this game is discovery I want the player to discover the rules of the world like a child discovers the rules of the world we live in. I want the player to feel they are in a new completely undiscovered world with new rules that the player has to figure out so they can learn more. The puzzles in the game are going to attempt to entice the player to solve them rather then feel like a frivolous activity just to get to the next area. I want the game to have a strong theme throughout the whole thing so that the player feels they are always working towards goal that they always feel is important.

Art and Feel of the Game
I am aiming for a very simplistic but meaningful art style I'm not really sure what it is specifically but i would like to keep it simple as to not draw to much form the gameplay. I still want stunning set pieces but stunning doesn't always mean super intricate and detailed . I want to make really interesting and cool architecture for the player to explore and enjoy. The over all feeling of the game that i want is a really ambient and lonely feel to the game which lis part of the story which I don't want to talk about in public.

It would be awesome if you where interested in helping me make this game. If you want to help send me a pm on TIG or send me a request on Skype saying who you are at the username deadlyaflac.

That sounds like a pretty heavy burden man, are you sure you can handle that?

I think you would have a lot better response if you showed some of your game design ability for the project (mockups, demo, drawings, whatever you need to get the idea across), and rocked the auto spellchecker a little more.

I wish you the best of luck in trying to get anonymous internet people to make all your assets/engines for you. It is a good plan and I see no potential flaws inherent in its structure. May Indie Jesus bless your soul.

I'm sorry if this sounds tough, but you're 17. You should try to get a grip on what is realistically going to happen. You can't expect interest from good artists and programmers when you yourself have shown nothing to match the caliber of work you expect. Simply claiming that you're a design virtuoso BEFORE you've even released your first game just won't cut it. You have offered no references, no games, no previous works, nothing that would possibly entice an individual to spend literally hundreds of hours of their lives making 3d models or engines for you. Not only that, but you expect them to work sans paycheck.

I also noticed that you've already posted one of these requests before, for a "3D Action RPG" with "more like a Metroid style exploration". You also said that "all positions were filled". This was just in January. What happened to that project, and how is it ANY different from this one?

Small piece of advice:

People that are actually worth working with (won't leave ur project after a month and have any skills) are already working on something. People that don't work on anything won't ever finish anything without a payment.
