Hi, just found this site and signed up yesterday.  I've been working on a game for a few months now titled Quantum Wreckers.  It's a splitscreen Mech game for the PC (and maybe Mac).  I've made a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2qC_k2h2RY showing some of the damage elements so far.

Here's a render of an assembled mech:

Please let me know what you think so far.

I'm not really a 'mech fan', but it looks like some nice work.  maybe it was just how you set it up for testing, but it seemed to need too much shooting to do the damage.  i know mechs should be tough, but i would think if they fired less often, but more destructive, it would make the game more tense as people manoeuvred around trying to blind side each other.  obviously the video wasn't really gameplay, but it made it seem like matches would end up more of a toe-to-toe slug fest...

Yes I agree, but nothing has been tweaked yet - there will also be heavier mechs and parts - it will tough to balance everything I think.  To have varying degrees of power/armor and keep things moving and not have mechs die too fast!
