I think this would be really fun with a theme of some kind.

Maybe you are a logger and it was a bunch of logs rolling at you that you had to avoid or something.

I didn't understand that you can get more points by hitting the lines. I did eventually understand that the lines can pull you in one direction or the other.

But this is a fun little arcade game. I like the risk/reward angle.

Gave it a few tries, here are my impressions:

When I first loaded up the game and started to navigate the screen, I wasn't sure what the goal was. It took me a bit to figure out the points were being counted in the square I was controlling but when I started to hit the lines coming in from both sides, I was a bit disoriented since you travel the direction they are coming from. I left the square alone and figured out the end state. I played again and really enjoyed the tug of war and on-the-fly strategy you need to keep equilibrium. It's a great concept to build from!

Thanks for posting the game to play!  Smiley

Thanks all! The feedback has been great.

I wonder how annoying it was to not be told how to play? Did it take too long to figure out? Would a built-in tutorial be more effective? Did you appreciate the lack of hand-holding, or were you bothered by the opaqueness?
