It was released today. Anyone bought it/played it yet? How is it?

It's the end of my school. I'm planning to play it in 2 weeks. I don't know if it's the creepy smile on the protagonists face or what but I'm looking forward to playing this.

Just bought it a moment ago. I've been watching the development of it on Twitter for a while. Going to play once I'm off work.

EDIT: So it's not a deranged smile. It's a mask lol

EDIT2: Demo was really freaky. Definitely buying this game.

Played the demo, just finishing some work before I shell out for it. I really liked the demo, it gave just the right amount of atmosphere to make me want more. I had an 'OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT' moment moments into the game, that rarely happens. It's really something.

I also hope it makes it's way to Steam, the dev resubmitted it not long ago.

So I just played through this and it's bloody fookin awesome. I got the blue pill ending and still don't know what the hell was going on. Dunno how many different endings there are and I didn't seem to finish the side-quests so I must be missing a lot.

So since the ending is You returning to the hospital bed which you seem to of once been a patient of, I'm guessing the main story is after something happening to his girl/wife (the lady in the blue dress) he's admitted to the hospital because he has some sort of mental breakdown. The start of the game is You having broke out or discharged from the hospital but doesn't remember anything so the infected and weird stuff are his warped viewpoint of the world as he tries to recover. I haven't got a clue if some of the monsters have much meaning, like Mother and the big bugger in the cellar.

So the blue pill ending is: You find the dude with the blue top and grey hair and you end up shooting him, but for a moment You has the same gunshot wound and morphs into the same person. The scene then cuts to where he's sat next to a tree with the lady in the blue dress except instead of a lush grassy scene everything is now devastated. I don't know if the grey haired dude is actually You but because he doesn't remember the mental breakdown he imagines himself (the player You) being much younger than he really is. Since the world is still devastated I'm guessing this was the bad ending where You doesn't mentally recover.

so this game is pretty nice and im probably going to buy it. i have to be "in the mood" for games with heavy emphasis on story/atmosphere tho so i'll be sure to carve out some time to complete it in one sitting (if thats even possible).

also jasper byrne is a cool guy (judging from his tigs posts) who has made some cool games and deserves to be supported

*Rushes overdue work*

I've played through the demo a few more times, just to hear it, it's pretty intense. Alas, I'm not finished my portfolio so I can't delve into the full thing right now. My credit card has been sitting on my desk since it launched though.

Rather than start a new thread, this just dropped on Steam with the 1.1 update at 20% off. If anyone was on the fence about buying it, it's really worth checking out.

I remember seeing this like, years ago and then completely forgetting about it.

Played the demo a bit. Seemed really polished and quite scary! Impressive. Will most likely get it at some point.

It's totally worth a play if you like silent hill as the game borrows a bit from it.
